Good evening, Pagan sisters!

I "fell out of the loop" near the end of November, post a few things and didn't even get to read much after that.
I got my very own computer, a "black Friday" special ! : No more trying to sneak time on the puter at Dad's house. Soon I will be online myself and able to check in more regularly.

Even when I feel out of touch, I remember this circle foundly
Thank you all for being there. I truly pray for and think of you all, I try to send positive energy to those who need it.

I've been having some trouble in my relationship with my eldest daughter, (she's 17) and have started making a beaded necklace-looking thing with a tiny picture of her in a frame as its focal point. I have it hung in my altar area; it's not finished yet. I have thought of her with such loving, longing thoughts while I work on it. There's alot of love bound up in it. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas about this kind of thing? I've never done this before, I just felt really led to create a physical, beautiful thing specifically for this intention. How might I go about meditating, visualizing, healing our relationship? Is there some sort of spell or blessing I can put on it/into it, in addition to my feelings as they are?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for stones I should include in it?

Must get off and put kiddos to bed...

Love and light,

~Raven

Mercyn - I use photobucket to link photos. I find them very easy to use.

RavenFriend - how about the stone associated with her birthmonth? Check into Hematite to improve relationships.

We had a tofurkey dinner celebration tonight. Another MDC mom invited us over for a lovely meal! I am hosting a get together tomorrow morning to talk BW'ing. I am surprisingly pretty mellow about it.

Peace- Heather

Maybe trying being around people, but beforehand trying to put yourself in a receptive state.. so that you soak up some of their positive vibes instead of the other way around? Trust me, I KNOW all about avoiding the world, I've been doing a lot of it the last 6months.. I haven't been able to handle people since mama died (family is mostly ok) and I am now having to push myself hard to be around other human beings. I do a lot of self talk before though, making it clear to myself that my intent is to be lifted up by the positive energy of other women. And some of my very best friends in the world 'live' in my computer It's a beautiful thing isn't it!

Grats on your own computer : I think some rose quartz would be good.. it's usually seen as a romantic love kinda thing but I think it would work here too. I actually DO have a spell in a book somehwere (I think) for strengthening the bond/relationship between mother & child(ren). Will try to have a look for it if I can even narrow it down enough to know where to start

Simplespirit- Try a neti pot treatment with a bit of tea tree (tiny drop). This is one of the few things that can help my sinuses.
Feel better!

Cari-We finally figured out why dh gets so darn cold in the house, his office at work is like 76 degrees at least. Sometimes it gets to 78 even when it is warm out- nothing he can do about it. Still it is nice to go outside and walk in to a toasty warm house.

Raven- I was the daughter growing up, and I know my Mom wanted to connect with me but she really didn't know how. It took my becoming a Mom before we really connected and at 32 we get along for the most part. We both did a lot of healing once I moved out. (not saying this is the case for you) So offerring *hugs*, it must be very hard.

Good Morning! It's starting off great for me. Sitting here with my super yummy egg nog coffee. My 2 1/2 DS is so cute. Our arrangement (well MY arrangement ) is that we nurse to sleep, then we can nurse again in the am. He usually asks a couple of times in the night. I remind him and he says "ok Mama" and I pat his back to sleep. Lately, when it's morning and I say ok to nursing, he says, "Awwww! You kind Mama"

I fell out of the loop too. Welcome back! Congrats on the new computer. That must be so nice to have your own.

Sorry, I'm just starting to use stones, and I'm at the beginning stages of learning. I do think your intent to heal is powerful in itself.

: I hope you feel well soon. I really want to decorate today too, but I need to be responsible and clean first (at least the areas where the decor goes).

Stupid AF still isn't here, I guess I am not working out enough to make my cycles shorter. At least all the working out is keeping the really bad depression away. I think what I have is mostly really bad cabin fever and when I get like this I can't be around people cause I will drag them down.

I am going to get through this, just like I always have and am so thankful that I have you guys. Even if you live in my computer.
Hang in there. Might I suggest small doable steps? Like, maybe not worrying about going out to see anyone first? Maybe just a walk around the block with the intent of seeing something new (a bird, beautiful tree-flower-rock, the way the sky looks) then build from there? This may not apply to you, but I've experienced social anxiety before and doing "simple" things like this helped with my confidence and built positive experiences. Hugs to you. You sound open to the desire for change, and that is where change can take root.

When am I going to break down and get a neti pot?! Geesh! I know it will help with my allergies. Ok, today's the day. A Yule present for myself.

DOK, I am thinking of your little one. When is the surgery? I'm sure you've thought of this, but lots of comfort items to distract. Books, etc for the down times? I second the RR: for him and for yourself I'll be sending positive thoughts your way.

Ok, this post took forever to write with kiddo interruptions!

Hello Sisters.

to all the sick ones.

I woke up at 6:45 am again this morning. I turned my ocean sounds back on and fell asleep for about another hour which was good, I really needed it.

I think I am going to try some reading today. I have no idea.

*I removed the link due to paranoia *

I will remove that link in a couple of hours because I am really paranoid.

Oh and be careful with the sage officialis, the sage you use for seasoning, apparently some people can have a bad reaction and it triggers asthma in a lot of people, if you have already tried it then it should be fine, the sage used for smudging genrally is white sage, you can also use silver wormwood, and different herbs. Most sites i read recomend that you just test in small amounts to see how you will react.
i can get fresh alvendar but i have to wait until next summer. . maybe i can wrap some lavendar up with the sage.

all i could find around here is cooking sage. i couldnt find any smudge sticks or anything. and couldnt afford any either. all i did was wrap it up lie a cigarette. DH was laughing b/c it did not look like a cigarette. . there was solittle smoke that it didnt really effect me. my asthma was fine but my nose got stuffed up. the house feels better. after burning the sage i sprinkled salt, dried lavendar, and rosemary (mixed up) around the house and doorways and windows. i feel much better today energy wise. i think i will wait to do it again after i find some white sage. or the other stuff you listed b/c i have a headache and a stuffy nose. i am not sure it was the sage or if i cought DH's cold but i play it safe next time. i was kinda desperate for a cleansing though and nothing else was really working for me.

You are both beautiful! :
And I love to put a face on names!

DS is interrested in genealogy. While surfing the net looking for the picture of an ancestor's house in France, I came accross a site listing his celeb descendants... Celine Dion, Angelina Jolie and myself share some roots. : :

Another interest: wood working. He wants to build Fairy doors and windows and little mailboxes to sell at the local fair next summer. He'll do Bird houses too I think.

http://practicalmagic.warnerbros.com/main.html Once you get to that page, click anywhere to enter.

Then, you'll see a pop up window that will have a bunch of candles at the bottom of it. If you hover your mouse over the candles, it will show different areas you can click on. Those areas have some of the artwork from the BOS.

I thought there was a place that showed the BOS better but I can't find it.

The film and the book are VERY different, but... I really like Sandra Bullock (I know, I know. But I do!). And I liked the film. DH got it for me years ago for solstice but it didn't survive the move... I need a new copy! (when we moved we decided "dvd only" so we didn't bring a vhs player or our vhs tapes)

I really enjoyed both the book and the movie very much! I am always nervous about a film version, but I think they pulled it off quite well. Does anyone like the author's other novels too?

Peace- Heather

I'm going to rent it immediately! I'm so homesick. I will look forward to the scenery (and I'm not just talking about Aidan Quinn ;-).

Hello!

I've been absent from here for a few months. Sept was horrible because I lost my dog and during Oct I was seriously nesting. So I didn't really spend time on this thread. I've missed everyone! I'll have to try and catch up.

My baby boy is here! He was born Nov 16th. It was a very fast homebirth and the midwife did not make it on time. Little Miles was born with his daddy watching, and my friend (MDC mama as well) caught him as he shot out into the water. He wasted no time coming out. I had an hour of active labor and less than 12 hours of early labor. When I told the midwife to come over my contractions were 10 minutes apart. Miles was born an hour later with the midwife still 10 minutes away. I never ever ever dreamed I'd have such a fast labor/birth!

So I'd like to ask a favor for anyone up for it. I don't have a lot of time online with my 2 week old and older boys keeping me busy. I don't want to post what I need help with...it's a secret. So PM if you'd like to help me with my search.
