I guess I was not so good with the sarcasm today.

have a few minutes now...

I've been sick... again.
Building a new improved plan to heal my body and my spirit.

Then the rain... The town declared Emergency Mesures as homes were isolated, roads destroyed...

But I got a nice surprise in my inbox this morning: I had entered at I Wanna Give Now and I won the weekly price! I have the word Gagnez (win) on my Treasure Map and this money will help me to work on another goal on my TMap: Genuine Health! :

Slowly thinking about Beltane... We have a lot planed between now and then but I'll try to sit down and create a simple celebration that will fill my need for spiritual life. :

just checking in, mamas...busybusy!

clay, it was a lot shorter list than i thought it would be. is it hard/expensive? it sounds like you're in the frame of mind to do it anyway, only on a different schedule. i'm so glad you get to stay, at least!

gun-- take it easy, you! no burning out right in the beginning!

it is supposed to snow tonight-- possibly 2 inches!!

i wouldn't care, except that 2 years ago there was an Easter Freeze that's probably going to go down in weather history, for this area. my family was here (for the first time!) and all i could think was, this is going to decimate the apple crop...which it did

so i'm really, really hoping the temp does not get down below 27, which is forcasted.
the farm from which i just put a down payment on a CSA, was featured in sunday's paper saying if it gets below 25, they could lose serious crops. i don't want my money going down the drain, when i so don't have any extra to spare!! eek!!!

OMG completely worn out! Took the boys to the art gallery to meet a childrens author and he read them one of his books, took them through an exhibit of his work and then they created a submarine like the one in his book. It was GREAT...but Quinn was feral (mainly because an art gallery really just isn't a place for a 2.5yr old but had no child care.. must remedy that) I'm feeling a bit ungrounded and like I'm not handling the kids very well lately Hopefully once things are more settled & we're moved in I'll be a little better equipped mentally.

Morning mamas. Boy I feel like I have missed so much. I have to go back and catch up with everything/everyone. It is raining for the second day here. I don't mind the rain just don't like that it starts in the morning and doesn't end, I feel like I should be building a boat!

Just popping in to say I have candles lit every night for a couple of your situations along with my big general "my friends" one. :

We have both cars on the road again! Course it also means our cushion is officially and completely gone.

I will probably be scarce this week, as I am completely and utterlly overwhelmed at work. : The bosses are trying to figure out how to get me more help, but it isn't helping that the interns have all decided to disappear now that the weather is attempting to be nice. These 50 hours weeks are killing me and I have something (often many somethings) planned for every weekend this month so I can't really recharge.

But despite all of this, I am in a good mood (except first thing in the morning) . Getting excited about my garden and the CSA I've signed up for. Hopefully this will help me lose the 10 pounds that snuck back on and help get me back on track for my weight goals.

My family of 3 (plus pup) Indigo (Aimee), Rob (dp), Ryne (ds) & Phebe (dog), plus my BIL's family of 3.

Morning All.

My plans for this morning were shot with the arrival of AF. Its all good though because I really was not interested in working out.

Still no word from DH. I have a feeling he is going to wait until its been a week before he calls. Despite the fact that I really need to discuss our landlady with him. I so wish we didn't have a lease because I would move right now.

The sun is shining again! My cat is totally drinking it in, laying spread eagle in front of the sliding glass door. I am enjoying it by having the door open for the nice breeze and reading. Its totally awesome.

Snowing again! The forecast says 4-9 inches of snow by Friday. Ugh.

Had dd1's 4year well child visit and did dd2's lead test at the same time... I'm wiped out! But tonight is belly dance class and we have food shopping to do first. I'm going to fall over.

Most couples I knew take a few months to get over that hump and back into their normal roles again. (sorry if I sound like a downer, I just didn't want you thinking that once he gets home everything will be perfect and then be blindsided when it takes a while!) But things will be fine in the end if you are both willing to talk.
I haven't read all the posts, so someone might have already said this, but keep in mind that he may also need individual counseling (in conjunction with couple's counseling) when he gets home not only to deal with readjusting to life after war, but also to deal with what he's seen or had to do over there.

And, one of the things my DP's Army counselor pointed out is that a military counselor may or may not be best for him when he comes home. It depends on what he's dealing with. Military counselors have a different perspective and agenda than a civilian one. They are trying to get their asset back to work. That perspective may work, and does for many, but if not, he may need a private counselor who's not employed by the military but has experience in issues related to military deployments. (DP's counselor was great because while he worked for the Army hospital, he was a civilian so he found it easier to put the Army agenda aside and do what was best for DP). And, a civilian should still be covered by TriCare.

He has to go to Children's Hospital to see an Immunologist. I'm also meeting with his pediatrician to discuss the results. They are abnormal again.

Warm vibes to you mamas experiencing snow. (That is completely out of my realm of experience in April!) It was 80+ here all weekend, and I'm feeling in the spirit for summer to start.

I've been pretty busy with very little computer time lately. I was able to catch up reading yesterday. Whew!

DoK- I'm sending good energy your way. I'm so sorry-I hope this is not too stressful. :

Bella-hugs You've gotten some great advice here, so I'll just offer a hug.

Brendon-Thanks for starting the camp thread

Clay-Good luck on the repairs/renovation. That a lot in a short time. I hope it goes by smoothly. Here's one of my TM affirmations to borrow: There is an ease and an abundance of time

Cari- Can I say how impressed I am that even though you're pulling off a fast move, you're still taking the littles out to do fun things. What a cool author/museum trip.

Indigo-Yay for working vehicles!

Aweyn-Happy house hunting. You won't believe how perfect your new place will be

Maia- I'm going to pop over to the camp thread to read if you've gotten feedback about kids activities. I looking for some too.

Sorry I didn't get to everyone. Hugs and happiness to all.

my dog Daisy, who i have had since she was 6 weeks old, who will be turning 6 yrs on may 10th, went to another home today. she had an ear problem that i couldnt afford to fix. i had already spent $700 and was out of money. i feel like i let her down. she was scared of kids. i have alot. so she spent most of her time hiding from them in my sons room. we didnt have any time to play with her or take her on long walks. she is a border collie and needs the exercise. i feel so bad. she spent most of her time (for the last 2 years) sleeping on the floor of my sons room. i know she will be better taken care of now, happy even, but i miss her terribly. she has only been gone for 15 min and i cant stop crying. the foster lady told me they would let me know how she was doing and what the specialist said. i was so excited the day i got her. i house trained her, and taught her tricks. we went everywhere together. me her and my son. walks, camping, everywhere. i took real good care of her. she is smart and learned everything i taught her right away. i miss her kisses. nothing changed until 2 years ago. DD was born. then 6 weeks later my 2 step daughters came to live with us unexpectedly. so 3 kids all thrown into her home. they made her nervous. she didnt like them. she wasnt used to them. they ran all over and made lots of noise. 2 years later and she still doesnt like it. and i am unexpectedly adding another one. i just couldnt do it to her anymore. if it wasnt for her being sick, i wouldnt have been able to give her up.

i had been hoping for some help with her. i had her pic on my altar for months hoping for some help making her life better. all i can tell myself as i cry is that her life will be better now. maybe she will even be happy. as i sit here and cry i wonder if she misses me, is she scared, will she get over it and find happiness? will she eventually forget about me? the foster mom is taking her to the vet and i know she will be scared of them, and i am not there. please tell me i did the right thing and she will be ok. they are totally no kill, and are going to find her a good forever home.

i feel like i am dying inside :

LionessMom That's so sad! My eyes are all teared up. I can't imagine how hard that is for you, but so thoughtful and unselfish too. Your doggie knows you love her. I hope she gets the medical help she needs and a loving family. It's ok for you to grieve for her, I'd be devastated too.

can i just say that we had the most splendidest of birthdays? it was so magical, so happy, so fun, *and* i had a wonderfully magically powerful ritual... i mean really powerful. wow. (the day before, i had tried this new heart chakra thing from the tapping.com guy, and i think it really released something, because there was all this new amazing energy flowing from my heart the next morning when i did my ritual... it.was.amazing. if anyone wants to try it, PM me with your email addy and i can send it to you. )

also, happy libra full moon! (or-- you can still add to your TM til what, like 8 am tomorow??) it's so my fave, and not just cause i'm a libra momma with an aries babe... libra moons are great time for beauty rituals, mommas! we should all pamper ourselves tonight.... wish i could send you all some sweet peas from the garden. each day some new color bursts forth. it's stunning!

aww, Lioness it sounds very much, from your story, that you did the right thing. i'm sure your doggy will be very happy where she ends up, with lots of room to run and no kids

LionessMom- to you. I had to give away my beloved dog many many years ago and I still think about her. I know how difficult it is.

DOK- thinking of you! You have been through so much.

Aweyn- wow, just reading your post made me all happy. it sounds like you were able to tap into something.

o.k. need to post to the camp thread...

Oh, mean't to mention- I made some russian easter bread today, it smells nummy cooking. it has nuts, raisins and lemon peel but we had none so instead it has orange zest, a tiny bit of nuts and poppy seeds. *laughs* always fun to improvise.

DoK- I hope your appointment goes well, that the abnormal results are explained in a positive/healthy manner, and that you and your little get a well deserved break! Healing and Happiness flooding your way!

Lioness- I'm so sorry mama. We're going to be re-homing our pup too (dd1 still isn't comfortable around him, he isn't comfortable with dd2, and I'm going to be too pregnant to get him the time/attention/walking he needs). But he's only been with us a year. I can't imagine if we'd had him his whole life. It sounds like you've made a really tough decision, but the right decision for your furry friend. I hope the foster family sends you a glowing update and a picture of your pup to put on your altar.

Aweyn- Holy Super Quotes Batman! Ummmm... let's see... the code guy showed up on Imbolc and that's when the adventure began. DH is still tweaking his map so I'll see if he wants to add some time affirmations. My map has home related images and happy home haiku but I didn't go with "actual" affirmations this year.

And I'll see if I can get photos from class next week. I was sort of wondering during class if I could talk the instructor into lending me one of her really fancy outfits for a quick photo shoot when I'm a bit more pregnant. I mean, my belly has most certainly taken on a life of it's own, but it's still in the same zip code. This picture was taken a whole month before Ro arrived so I have a constant reminder of just how much bigger my belly is going to get! But I was thinking that a picture with nifty shimmy bits and fancy tassles would be much good fun.

And it's still snowing... not really sticking (the temp pops up to almost 40, then drops back down), but still cold and miserable. We've had snow into May before, but it's rare. And this much sustained snow is unusual. In general April is a day of freeze here or there, not a whole week straight! We only have two bags of pellets left and we've already gone over our heating budget so I really need things to warm up.
