My friend Luke came over today and blew my mind with talk on this subject!

He showed me this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq3s0u73Oes ( The Maya of Eternal Time- Drunvalo Melchizedek 2009) It is alllll about this subject and it's so intriguing! I know it's 14 parts long, but take your time, they are in 10 minute increments.

It's really worth watching!

I saw the thread title and immediately thought, '''YAY, Olympics in London"!!! THAT'S what's happening in 2012.

Then I opened it and apparently I need to watch more TV, because I've never heard of this theory.

I'll stick to being excited about the Olympics.

Nothing. I sort of think the Mayans were more like "ok, we got to 2012, let's take a break, and pick up the calendar where we left off in a couple hundred years." They just didn't foresee their extinction. Hence the calendar only extending to 2012.

First special delivery - April 2010 :

This is not even comparable to Y2K. That was based on man made computers. The Maya calendar is based on the sun and arguably the most accurate calendar to date.

This date is also important because of the galactic alignment which happens once every 26,000 years. It's not like the Mayans picked this date out of a hat. They were pointing to it on purpose. Everything the civilization did was purposeful and carefully calculated.

There are theories about solar flares, magnetic poles shifting, and others about moving to the next dimension. It's intriguing to me. I don't have any concrete beliefs just yet, but I will tell you that we will be prepared for that date.

not so much 2012 ...but more the next few years....
The Federal Government will return to the gold standard and change the currancy. Life will get real hard but it won't end.
