Hi everyone, happy to see so many yoga mommies here! I am a huge fan of ashtanga yoga, makes me sweat so much though. I try to practice daily and it makes me feel so refreshed!
I use David Svensson's videos

Mammal Mommy~ How are you? I miss this thread. Welcome to all the newcomers. I am 7 weeks post op, and gratefully resuming my hoop/yoga practice. I am feeling great, as I have been suffering ill health for most of the last year. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy in December. I am well! Where are you in your journey? Life seems to be flying by at lightning speed. Namaste Mama's

Oh it's great to hear from you tri31, and wonderful to hear you're feeling better after your surgery and resuming your yoga and hooping practice!

I, on the other hand, have not done yoga or hooped for several months. I was just loving it for so long, couldn't imagine life without it, and then one day just said, "Don't feel like it today," and a day turned into weeks and months...and I've gained nearly all of my weight back now.

I was so inspired by all our communications in the past! So maybe us resuming this thread is a way to help me get back into the circle again.

I feel like a truant trying to skip out of school. My kids are like mom, paint. Mom bath. Mom!! But, I really wanted to stop in and chat. Quickly So my health problems were caused by a fibroid. This thing was a monster, I became critically anemic, I had next to no energy. I couldn't think straight. I have come to understand that root chakra issues are associated with these kinds of health problems. I was wondering if anyone could relate? I have been practicing the work http://www.thework.com/index.php doing so has allowed me to discover how unkind I have been to MYSELF at practically every twist and turn in my past. I almost allowed myself to bled to death in November (the depro shot they gave me to try to control the fibroid backfired). For weeks I ignored me. Never again, I am falling in love with me, at last.

I did 10 minutes of yoga yesterday, hula hooped/danced during the afternoon. Today was a walking workout followed by more yoga . I'm inching my way along.

Hi Ladies, I Find myself with a bit of extra time in my day and I've always been meaning to get into doing some Yoga. I've been to a few classes with friends but they never stuck.

Can anyone share a video or some directions on some basic yoga poses that I would be able to do at home?

Thanks, Sof. X

I wish I could remember to post here more often. I joined Simrit Kaur's Supreme Sound course recently. I really love it. She's a yogic chant artist and Kundalini Yoga teachers...she was actually a part of my yoga teacher training all those years ago...I really love this course, if you haven't checked out her music though I'd youtube her.
