Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatoulahi wa barakatu.

I am a new Muslima, a new mom and new to this forum :)

Just joined today, and realized the last thread made for muslim moms was in 2011, So I hope to meet all you lovely sisters here on mothering.com and share stories, experiences, and give and take advice.

A little about me:

I am Canadian

23 yrs old

Muslim for about 2.5 years now

Married for 1.5 years to another Canadian revert

Mom of a 3 month old baby girl Alhamdulillah

If all the sisters here could introduce themselves, I know you probably know one another already but just as a refresher :)

Thanks!

Aleikum Asalam, nice to meet you UmKhadija!  My husband and I are also both muslim reverts, currently living in Canada.  We have an almost 2 year old and almost four year old daughter.  Just to get this thread going, I am wondering if other stay-at-home muslim mamas struggle to do their five-time prayers each day when the little kiddies are perpetually clingy and needy?  Do you find that the hubbies have no problems 'sneaking away' to do prayers but us, the moms, struggle to make an escape?  I know its good to include the kids in the prayers, but sometimes they make it difficult if not impossible (crying, asking to be picked up, pushing, fighting, etc).
