Thanks for praying. Things are OK. Right now I am just trying to make things "good" mostly for my kids.
We had our passover last night. It was only my DH and kids. Nice

How are things with you?

I am due Nov 20, starting to feel a bit better, my morning sickness has really toned down this week and nursing isn't *as* painful. But my supply is really suffering and DS has been on the dehydrated side, which is worrying me. Holy heartburn, every single night! How are you feeling apey? Morning sickness kicked in yet?
I ended up not doing anything special last night for Passover, DH and I were fighting. Such a stupid fight too but in my overly exaggerated emotional state it felt absolutely necessary.
I hope things begin to fall back into place in your life Naz.

Oh and DH was trying to tell me that tonight is when your supposed to eat lamb and remember the passover of the Isrealites in exodus. I tried explaining how these holidays start the night before. And he was like, So do they eat lamb when it gets dark then?? IDK what time the Isrealites ate their Passover supper! Geez!

OK, I will try to explain....the new day starts at sunset. So Friday night at sunset starts Sabbath.

Passover-- The lamb was to be killed on the 14th just before sunset/new day. The Lamb's blood would be on the door before the "new day"

Exodus 12:6 ...slaughter it at dusk.

Lev 23:5 ....between sundown and complete darkness, comes passover for ADONAI.

I hope that helps. I think that passover is the only holiday that is like that. Most of the time the holiday will start at sunset

That's what I thought. I brought up the 10th and the 14th as the two main days of importance here. But, oh well, yet another year goes by that we missed out on Passover

Lev 23:9-14 -- Day of First Fruits. That is a very important day. Messiah is risen!

Plans for Sunday? We are going to my parents house. And church only has one service. Why? I don't understand.

I actually hadn't even thought about it yet lol. I think we are doing our Saturday service in addition to an Easter Sunday service, people can come to whichever they prefer. But I think DH is going to a sunrise service at a different church. I simply cannot get out of bed that early right now. I guess I better put some thought into it, and plan something.

No morning sickness yet! I'm only about 4.5 weeks, tiny but of cramps. The tiredness has kicked in though! I think between pregnancy and waking with DS to nurse I must take a mid day nap to survive! I always take naps while pregnant though!! smile.gif

I read the book. It was SO interesting! I loved it!

I wanted to pose a question, see what opinions I get. So, we always equate healing with faith. Well what about the paralized at the pool? He received healing by Jesus even though his faith was in the pool not in Jesus. Even today, people may be healed who are not believers, and certainly have no faith in Christ. It makes me wonder.... Maybe God getting glory is the ultimate factor of healing? Or possibly more of an individual type thing. Like God knows the heart, so if a healing of physical or mental ailment would cause repentance and therefore faith, that's when God chooses to heal a faithless person?

I think it does have to do with the Glory going to God. We see Jesus always does the will of the Father for His glory.

I'm going to think more about your question

It got brought up last night. We visited another church for Wednesday night (that is our vision, to reunite the church as the body of Christ. So we are visiting other churches on Wed and Sun) And DH had studied on healing awhile ago, and there's not many instances where faith isn't the hinge factor, but a couple. The man at the pool who wants to argue with Jesus that he isn't healed but he could be if he could just get in that pool. And then the 10 lepers, only 2 were made whole.... But a lot of times He would heal them according to how much faith they had. So faith can be, and often times is, but not every single time. So the people at this church were not open to DH's interpretation. It was definitely an interesting event. And I guess we are a lot more fundamental even than other bible based churches. One man was really arguing hard with DH that even though Jesus gave us all authority, it doesn't mean that we *can* actually do what Jesus did. Even though Jesus himself said "you will do all things I did and greater" and Paul said "its not I that live, but Christ that lives in me". The man wants to believe we have much less power and authority than Jesus did and that we cannot possibly do any of the miraculous things that Jesus did. I tend to think that that type of thinking is epidemic in the church and that's why we don't see the signs that are supposed to accompany believers.

Chunk- I'm not sure I'm understanding?  In Luke all 10 are healed (Luke 17:17) But only 1 comes back to worship/thank Jesus

I need to look at the man at the pool again...

My bad on the first example. I haven't reread recently and mixed up the numbers. I'll have to look it up when I get a chance, I thought I remembered it saying, the 1 that came back was made whole...??? Maybe not. But even if faith is a prerequisite, there's gotta be more to it. Because what about people nowadays that are unbelievers that receive healing from the Lord?

Ok, upon further investigation, it does seem to be quite apparent that faith IS a necessary factor. It makes me mad that my old pastor was twisting scripture to make his teachings relevant. I'm glad we are done going to that church. I will have to share with DH tonight.
