ADONAI is robed, girded with strength.

The world is well established;

it cannot be moved.

Your throne was established long ago;

you have existed forever.

More than the sound of rushing waters

or mighty breakers of the sea,

ADONAI on high is mighty.

Hi! I'm doing better. I had my appt. yesterday. She gave me zofran for nausea. I usually decline meds but with two other little ones at home I need something! Appt. went well. Waiting to hear test results. Thank you for asking and thinking of me. How are you?

Happy to hear that everything went well. Are you testing for something specific?

I'm doing OK. I am making an effort to enjoy my kids and life. I watched a movie for me late night. That made me feel good. I take very little time for me.

This weekend Lee Strobel is going to be at a local church. I would like to go.

Just normal tests. I don't get any genetic tests done. My beta came back really high and good so I'm happy.
That's good you took time for yourself. God and I just had a little chat and I admitted I take too much time for myself and need to get my butt in gear! I'm about to have three babies!

My weekend is going fine. It would be a lot better if DH didn't take my vehicle to the encounter! I've got his pick up truck and I absolutely HATE driving that thing!!! Oh well.

The weather here is cold and rainy no fun -BOO! I'm glad you got enjoyable weather Naz.

All went well enough at church today, so that was a relief.

What movie are they going to see?

Yea its a 6 seat truck but only 2 door, so its a pain getting the baby in and out. Its huge and all messed up so I'm a nervous wreck when I drive. I'm trying to not go out unless absolutely necessary. I miss my durango!!

At the moment I'm comfortable with the prenatal research that I've done. I'm sure there will be times where its not enough anymore and I will have to press in more. This experience is definitely deepening my prayer time. Instead of prenatal visits in the traditional sense, I literally do prayer visits.
I'm learning my body better too. I never tried to feel my uterus to measure the fundus before, so its pretty cool. We decided if its a girl, her name will be Faith, because this is absolutely stretching every ounce of faith we have.

How's life for you Naz? Your on my heart a lot.

Love the name Faith. My husband had some crazy names picked for all our kids. Very crazy. Thank the Lord that he did not get his way.

I was wondering how that godzilla movie was.

So,I have a question, I'm not exactly sure how to even word it. Everyone gets a spiritual gift once they're born again, but does everyone stand in an office? Like the fivefold ministry consists of 5 "offices" apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor/shepherd, and teacher. But to someone whose gift is hospitality or mercy or tongues, what office if any do they stand in?
I'm going to ask DH when he gets home, but just figured Id throw it out there?

To answer your question I will need some time. For me this question get to the heart of what the church should "look" like. Everyone having a part to play in the body...

Anyone in Christ can get a word from the Lord, and can speak prophecy, but that does not mean that they stand in the office of a prophet. KWIM? There seems to be a simple version of the gifts and then certain offices that God ordains. So IDK, I was just curious.

That's why I wasn't sure how to word it properly. I'm unsure what biblical terminology would be appropriate. I'll fish around in my head.... anointing, calling, purpose... maybe. Like while we are all called to spread the gospel and make disciples of all nations, we are not all evangelists. Evangelist is an anointing or calling or "office". Paul was called to be an apostle, but if you read the first two chapters of each of his letters you can see him progress to walk in his office. He will introduce himself as Paul a servant, Paul called to be an apostle, and then Paul an apostle. Just because we all have a calling in the Kingdom, doesn't mean that we stand in our office. Its part of our walk. I hope that made more sense.

I guess what I would say is this...

The Lord gives us grace to do His will @ the time that it is needed. This how I see the body of Messiah. We follow the Master. We learn to walk in the path that he gives us. He gives us gifts & talents that help others in and out of the Body of Messiah. It is when we take these gifts in our own hands that things get "crazy/wrong"

I do believe in the 5 fold ministries. Some in the church do not. I respect this point of view. I believe if we believe in the Lord Jesus we can all be a body together. So if you don't believe this for today the Lord still get His work done without the body even seeing the gifts at work ;) MOST important thing in this walk is that we grown in the grace and knowledge of Messiah.

sorry for mistakes....kids all over me

Hey ladies! I got a personal call from my OB yesterday. She asked me if twins run in my family. ( my Gma had twins) she said my beta levels were so high there is a possibility it's twins and I should get an ultrasound to check. I just don't know what to think. It kind of excited me but I don't want to get hopes up. Also I know my hubby would be extremely stressed about finances!

Holy moly! Twins! Don't leave us hangin!

DH explained it to me as the offices of the five fold ministry are leadership positions in the body. Everyone gets gifts in Christ, but if its outside of the 5 offices than its for the flock.

DH had the best encounter yet! He had some really awesome stories this time. I think his favorite was how the Lord told him to rip a demon out of another man. But he's like "uh nah, I'm good on the whole ripping it out thing, I'm just going to pray in agreement with these other men" But the Lord was relentless so DH put his hand over the man's gut area and could tangibly feel it, so he grabbed it and yanked it out. lol. He said the man fell down, all the other men praying were like pushed back a few feet, and DH said it felt like a tazer hit him. Crazy!

So inside the office it is for the others in the office? Leadership to leadership -v- Leadership to flock?  Not debating just trying to understand the question.

Its all for the body. The offices are for the body. Paul talks about how prophecy edifies the body, and tongues is for unbelievers. So how they are *used* benefits whoever will receive, but how they are *distributed* is offices are in positions of leadership, and the flock will get whatever gifts the Spirit chooses. People in the flock can still hold an office but they have greater authority. 1 cor 12 talks about all of this. So if there is an evangelist or prophet in the flock they have higher authority given by God himself than the pastor. But God places the pastor as the head, so they would have to ask permission from the pastor to do whatever. Its kinda confusing. We are just learning the whole authority structure. But I guess to put it simply, God puts some in positions of leadership over the flock because He is a God of order, not disorder.

OK, 1 Cor 12 is about the gifts. Are offices & leadership & authority all the same?

To me leadership and authority are the elders.  An elder is a person that is like 1 TIM chapter 3. The elders are the ones that come together to help the BODY & the flock can come to for help.

Chunk- I think that I need to bow out of this conversation. I don't see leadership the same way most Christian's do. I see things more like a house church. Elders are very much an organic thing and not elected or chosen (by people --ETA)

Anyway :throb to you.

Yea I agree with that God places the leaders and authorities. So if God says "ok son your pastor at xyz, that makes you the head/covering over that portion of My flock" then he is the ordained leader.
But the flock *has to* recognize him as that authority and be in submission to him as the ordained head.

DH described it like this- say I own a construction company, and I hire a guy with $10,000 worth of tools. I can't just use his tools whenever I please. But if that guy submits himself and his tools to me/the company, well now I can use them whenever need be, and he is a huge asset to the company.
That made sense to me.
The authority thing is huge. That's the main teaching the prophet brought to us. Once proper authority is established, the foundation has been laid, and God build the walls out of gold bricks and precious stones.

Elders are elders. In the end of 1 cor 12 Paul gives the ranking of the offices and the authority they hold. Apostles are 1st and highest, then prophets, then evangelists, then pastors, then teachers. An elder is more of a position within a certain flock, whereas offices are Kingdom, and are not restricted to. a certain group.

Anyways, its already Wednesday, another week flying by.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." - Deut 6:5

Another thing were currently working on is sactifying our home and the church. Every time this season rises up in me there's more crap in my house that must go. I always think I got it all until it rolls around again lol.
