Read Matt 3- John the baptist is a cool guy. I was thinking about how he is the last prophet before Jesus takes over. In my Bible it says Yochanan (John) the Immerser. I like that that David Stern uses Immerser in stead of Baptist. (just me)

apeydef & Chunk - Let me know your thoughts.

Having a nice day. My boys are with my parents. I am home alone with my 2yr. Husband is out with a friend...This week will be more of the same. Boys @ VBS and me home with 1. LOL it is very weird to me to be home with just 1....it is like having a break.

Hope you are enjoying the day.

Anyone hanging here...Hey! come on and talk to us...

Yes John, what a man a pure faith! Yes I imagine him hippy like lol. He prophesied about Jesus!!i imagine since their mothers were cousins they already knew each other? But he made the prophecy about " he that cometh after me is mightier than I....."

I'm in 1 Timothy right now. I read 1Tim 4. Verse 3 really stuck out to me. Read it if you have a chance and tell me what you think.

apeydef- Yes, hippy John! LOL It is cool to think about John knowing Jesus as they were growing up.

1 Tim 4:3 - what do you see? To me it speaks of false teaching always being against the work of the Lord. (my bible is worded different then most)

I found an answer to the Matt 2:23 question. I will have to look at it alittle closer then I can write what I found.

Yes let me know what your findings are. I have no idea. I guess when I read it I just think it's someone unspoken of. Don't know.

Yes it is cool to think of John and Jesus hanging out lol. What about when John was in his mothers belly and going crazy when they were with Mary. I think that is cool too. It's like he was born to be Jesus's buddy!

Luke 1:39 talks about what I mentioned above. Luke 1 goes into a lot of background on John.

John & Jesus were very close in age. One thing that has always made me think is John mother. She went thou a few "weird" things. Getting preg later in life. Husband comes home and can't speak till after John is born. Little crazy in my book...

Lol yea, that is weird.
I like that John is called to immerser. The original word for baptize means to plunge under, so the whole sprinkling theory goes out the window.
I guess you meant the last prophet spoken of by name? But John was definitely not the last prophet. Paul talks about prophets and then in Revelation there are the 2 witnesses, which are also prophets.
I didn't get any extra reading done this weekend, way to go girls!

It is cool that John recognized Jesus when they were still in the womb. But it makes sense. Jesus is God and it says John was born with the Holy Spirit. So somewhere in the gospel, I'm thinking in John, Hes talking about how the Spirit bears witness with Jesus. So God recognizes and bear witness of Himself.

Actually it says he was filled with the Holy Spirit before he was born, still in his mothers belly. ( not exact words but you get it )

I forgot to update you guys on church yesterday. I went ( even though hubby had to work. I went all by myself. They let me walk the baby back and meet the teacher so that was good. He wouldn't stay though he cried. I wasn't impressed with my first impression of the teacher but the director I really like and she's always back there walking around. Anyway the director told me next week I can go and sit with him and class. So progress!! I just want him to get used to it before the baby comes bc I don't want to have them both in church with me. I spent most of church walking around with him but hey that's just the season of life I'm in right now right? Taking care if little ones. I have to remind myself this. Also at least my oldest got to go to her Sunday school.

Chunk- I look at John being the last MAJOR prophets.

apeydef- Good for you going to church. My DH works on Sun some times. I know that it is hard to be alone in church.

Matt 5- Read it last night. I tried to read it with new eyes. It is one of the most read sections of the Bible.

I have to go 2yr is crying...I will be back

That's great apeydef! Hopefully your LO will adjust smoothly to Sunday school and it won't a big deal at all when he goes in by himself! It is definitely hard to go to church without DH, especially if there are uncooperative kids involved lol.

Another Monday, another week. Anyone have plans this week.?

Chunk when did you feel movement this pregnancy? Where it was clear and you knew for sure. I'm almost 17 weeks and I haven't had clear for sure movement and I'm starting to worry.

I felt movement as early as 10 weeks but not often or very clearly. I'd say regular discernable movement was probably 19 weeks.
I had my ultrasound done at 17 weeks, and baby was rockin and rollin in there and I didn't feel any of it. So don't be worried. 16-20 weeks is when the bones start to harden and movement becomes more noticable.

Chunk- My DH keeps so much stuff. I am right there with you.

Matt 6- This section has a promise that I love.

"So don't be anxious, asking, 'what will we drink?' or 'How will be clothed?' For it is the pagans who set their hearts on all these things. Your Heavenly Father knows your need them all. MATT 6:31-32

Matt 2:23 - I have some information that I can send snail mail. I don't feel comfortable putting into my own words. If you want just let me know...

Why are you not wanting to go?

Ezekiel is such a difficult book for me. Some of it is straight forward enough, but the visions and their symbolic meanings boggle me. Alot like revelation. I can get most of it but the symbolizism gets tricky!

Chunk- This VBS is @ my church so that makes it hard...but funny I met a great mom(not from this church) today. The Lord blessed me. But making friends is a hard thing for me.

apeydef- You can do it! I know that you can!

I didn't read today. I had glass stuck in my foot...so that took a BIG chunk of the day. It is out now!!! THANK GOD!!! I almost ended up in the ER. But because of ObamaCare they would not have taken me with the insurance. (at least paid for it)

Yes our deductible is $6000 then a 20% co-pay. So basically I'll be paying for my birth if I can't switch my plan.
