I was wondering if anyone wants to share who their favorite Gods and Goddesses are?

Hekate, Sarasvati, Gaia are mine. Well the short list :-)

If I personify, Cerridwen, Brigid, and oddly enough Kwan Yin.

I Say Mother Nature when singing to, discussing with the children and mostly think that way too. That keeps the idea pantheistic enough for my mind.

I do my best to see the Green Man in DH and DS. Some days that's easier than others.

I'd have to say first and foremost Brigid. Next would be Athena, Yar and Branwyn.

As for Gods, I have a thing for Thor, Mars and Bran.

I would have to say Brigid (Brigit) ...Cause GooseFeather isn't my real name

Until I found out about her, I thought that my mother had made a mistake in naming me...turns out, she could not have picked a better name for me

My favorite aspect of divinity (I say aspect because I don't believe that there are literally seperate gods and godesses, just aspects or manifestations of one Consciousness) is Shiva, destroyer of illusion. We names our ds Shankar, which is another name for Shiva (meaning The Bliss-Maker)

Mother Earth. That seems like the best common denominator. After that, I love using the phases of the moon to represent the 3 aspects of womanhood, maiden, mother, crone. When I found out that the new moon looked like a D for Diana, the Virgin, and the waning moon looked like a C for Crone, that was wicked awesome!

The yin yang aspect of life is very impt to me. I really honor the god as much as the goddess. If the goddess sustains, the god is the energetic creative force. Therefore, I love the horned god, and the sun god.

Since I was so upset when I learned how sexist the bible is, I would never just focus on women only in my own take on religion. that would just be doing the same thing in reverse. I once went to a party/circle with a bunch of young "witches" who seemed to be a bunch of men haters, and I was really turned off by them. They seemed to be witches to justify hating men, and to shock their parents.

Ooh cool thread.
Well clearly I love the Goddess Asherah, and I am dedicated to her.. Asherah, lady of trees and of the sea... and Astarte.. who she is associated with..

I love Kali, the devourer.. because she eats what no longer serves and paves the way for new creation.

I love Lillith for her defiance and wild wisdom and solitude.

I love Hecate and Persephone all the Goddess who travel to the underworld and help us get in touch with our shadow sides, and our psychic energies. When I took the Goddess test in that book.. I forget the name.. by the Jungian scholar, I came up with strong Persephone energy..

I have come to appreciate the Mother Goddesses more, now that I am a mother myself.. and Hera the wife as well.

I love Hestia, Goddess of the home and hearth.. I meditate on her when I clean house.
//
I definitely see the Green Man in DH.. but I also love Mercury, God of the crossroads, of adventure and travel and mischief.

I love Pan.. oh very very much.. for his earthy wisdom and abandon and passion and reverence for life.

Not as a god, per se, but as a teacher: Buddha.
