I'm really curious to know your experiences of festivals with an Eastern Religious theme.

I am thinking of organising one for the middle of the year, winter where I am, and am looking for ideas. I would like it to be spiritual in orientation, and with the minimum of decadence, ie. drugs, alcohol, promiscuity. This would probably mean no rock n'roll music.

I just did one a few days ago, the Festival of Saraswati Puja, and found it to be powerful and transformative. We did yoga, meditation, had spiritual discussions, sweat lodges (wow!!), and did karma yoga. It was small but good.
