I'm in Jacksonville, FL right now... and today I took my sons to see the Maitreya Project Heart Shrine Relic Tour at the local Tibetan Buddhist temple. It was very cool... very spiritual. I couldn't believe that Jacksonville was getting something so neat.

Anyways, it's a collection of relics from *the Buddha*and other Buddhist Masters that is touring the world...and the US right now. (The brochure says that "most of the relics are of the hisotircal Shakyamuni Buddha who was born in 563 BC. There are also relics of the Kasyapa Buddha who preceeded Shakyamuni Buddha.") The whole point of the tour is regarding loving-kindness.

Anyways. It was very neat. Very spiritual. And I thought I'd put it out there in case you want to check the tour schedule and see if it's heading near you. If it can come to Jacksonville... it can come pretty much anywhere.

Mom to DS(8), DS(6), DD(4), and DS(1).  "Kids do as well as they can."
