Alleged Hit & Run Driver May Not Face Felony
http://www.vaildaily.com/article/201...ntProfile=1062

Quote:
A financial manager for wealthy clients will not face felony charges for a hit-and-run because it could jeopardize his job, prosecutors said Thursday.
The man injured even said:

Quote:
Milo wrote in a letter to District Attorney Mark Hurlbert that the case “has always been about responsibility, not money.”
Does the prosecuture not understand that a felony on your record is damaging to ANYONE? So, do we allow teachers (if they are rich enough) to run people over and leave the scene of an accident because they may loose their job if convicted of a felony? I thought that was kinda the *point* of a record--- the fact that if you do bad things there may be consequences.
