We recently had our rights violated by CPS child protective services, the case worker went and talked to our 7 yr old son at his school without our knowledge then came to our home and DID NOT TELL US WE HAD THE RIGHT TO TALK TO SPEAK WITH AN ATTORNEY BEFORE WE EVEN HAD TO SPEAK TO HER OR LET HER IN OUR HOME, LET ALONE SIGN PAPERS!!! SO PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS, WE WERE NOT BECAUSE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED TO US!!! Now we have a 60 day case over false allegations and we did do research and talk to a lawyer online who deals with child abuse cases in Maryland and we also found other websites where it tells you how CPS workers do lie and misuse their "power" against parents unaware of their rights and even in the pamphlet she gave us NO WHERE DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT OUR RIGHTS TO AN ATTORNEY!!! KNOW YOUR RIGHTS FIRST!!!
