Hello....I am not pregnat yet, but ttc#5. I have dreamed of a homebirth with NO LUCK in the past. I have been insulin dependant GD for last 2 pregnancies. I am looking for a midwife who would be willing to work with me as I try to conceive and who would follow me through my pregnancy. I need a lot of guidance on how to try to eliminate the diabetes if possible or atleast decrease it's intensity. My husband and I are both in nursing school and very well aware of what the Dr's consider the risks of GD. We however have had 100% healthy babies with no residual effcts from the diabetes from birth. I would like my hubby to deliver me at home with a knowlegable person stanfing behind him to guide his way. Our Dr let him fully deliver our last baby, but we will NOT do an unassisted birth. Feel free to contact me by e-mail marys_mama@hotmail.com.
