Wondering about the absolute definition of "beast" here lol... would a centaur be considered not a person but not a beast? What about a house elf? Hmm, or a ghost?

So I'll ask a different question while we ponder that lol...

Is it at Hogwarts? (or at least, at Hogwarts when we encounter it in the books even if that's not where it "lives")

6. Yes, it is at Hogwarts. (and on the "beast" question I was reminded about Magical Beasts the book.. and although I haven't memorized it as some have) I still think my "answer" is not a beast.

Or could it be a crying mandrake?

I love Harry Potter but I've never played 20 q's so I hope I'm not breaking any rules asking two questions in a row.

12. Yes! It IS the whomping willow.. the "sentient" question was kind of difficult for me, but when i looked it up, it was talking about being "aware" and the willow clearly knows how/when to defend itself, so...

4. Is it unique to Harry?

Hmm Im not sure how to answer that. Can you rephrase that a different way? For example if the item was the elder wand, (it isn't) what would the answer be?
