I watched My Baby's Daddy this week, and was very surprised that 2 of the 3 births didn't take place in a hospital (though 1 was just a quick birth with no time to go to the hospital). The only woman who gave birth at the hospital was portrayed as a really bad mom anyways.
One woman had a homebirth with a doula/midwife, though they incorrectly defined a doula as a midwife in the movie. She was portrayed as a very caring intelligent woman... a lesbian even!
2 out of the 3 couples were of mixed ethnicity (asian/african american, and african american/caucasion).
Most of the women in the movie breastfed. The fathers were supportive of nursing. In the one scene, the fathers were wearing their babies.
It was one of those mindless, goofy movies, but I was happy to see that they presented homebirthing, breastfeeding, and babywearing, instead of automatically going with the epidural/cesarean, bottlefeeding, constant baby bucketing perspective.
Oh, and in one scene, the guys were watching a childbirth video, and they actually showed the baby's head coming out and everything!
