I just watched the trailers, and read this thread, and when I woke up without DP in bed last night, I had to find him in his "man-cave" and insist on him joining me in bed.

I was worried something will crawl under my blanket and bite me.

He always jokes that I'm not allowed to watch R-rated stuff. He really has a point there...
That's exactly what happens to me! I got the heebie jeebies just reading about it and looking at screen shots!

Does something crawl under the blanket and bite someone in the movie??

Someone moved my effing cheese.

It depends what freaks you out.

I am usually easily scared by horror, but it's the images that get stuck in my head the worst -- like the girl in The Ring, and the boy in The Grudge, those totally stick with me. We saw Paranormal Activity last week, and I liked it . . . I turned my head away in anticipation once, but otherwise, I was fine. It hasn't stayed with me at all, either.

I also don't believe in the thing that was bothering them, and I thought the filming style was annoying (as did my partner). We probably wouldn't have seen it if we'd known that in advance.

I really wanted it to turn out that the boyfriend was tricking her and that the sleep deprivation made her so crazy that she killed him. That would have been an awesome ending. This was just kinda . . . "Oh. That. Suuuure."

I don't believe in the things that are the antagonists in the Ring or the Grudge (I didn't see the American version of the Grudge, I saw the Japanese ones, Ju-on) but I still thought they were decent movies with good stories.

I have to say that this was probably THE dumbest movie I've seen in a long time. Really, really dumb. A complete waste of money. I wanted to be scared or at least freaked out, but this movie really missed the mark. Doesn't even qualify as horror or "scary movie." All of the "scary parts" are in the trailer.

: oh i so hear you. i am a single mom. and i am dying to go see it and NOT. i have no one at night to go call.

one of the things that being a mother did is take away my tolerance for scary movies. i laughed right thru the exorcist when i saw in movie theaters what 8-10 years ago. the b/w awakening freaked me out.

maybe if i see the movie in the daytime (I read teh spoiler and dont believe in it either) i might not be scared.

the thing is i am dying to know what camp i would fall into.

people who found this movie funny
or people who found it scary

and i am scared of being in the scary camp.

I found it scary but I didn't really like the ending.

I laughed all through Blair Witch Project.

I saw this yesterday, and let me tell you it's not scary at all. This movie is a joke "the scariest movie of all time" yeah sure. The coolest parts were:

Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! Highlight to read message!
when the demon drags her out of bed
and when they find the burned picture in the attic

I think the demon had a crush on her

But then again, I'm a big horror fan and I haven't seen a movie that has actually scared me to the point I have the mental image in my head.

REC, was a better film though.

Ugh. Really? I guess I won't be seeing this one then.

I don't even own a video camera cause I could never go back and watch home movies...I vomit every time.

I had to get up and leave that movie that came out last Nov...geesh, I can't even remember the name of it.
The one where the paramedics respond to a apartment building and get trapped inside with whatever is killing the people?!?!?
Whichever movie it was I had to leave about 30 mins in....I only stayed that long cause I was with other people.

Blair Witch was agonizing to watch for me. Blech.
