You couldn't pay me to see this movie. The previews alone make me want to vomit.

When I was 8 years old, I remember seeing a movie about the life and death of Jesus. It was graphic, and I was very disturbed by it. Grossed out, actually. It didn't make me a "believer," it just made me disgusted.

I'm pretty sure I'd have the same reaction this time around too.

I've never seen Braveheart or the Patriot or the Matrix because of the violence, so I'm sure not gonna see this one.

In many respects your criticism of the bible are "typical." I do not judge and compartmentalize you because of this.

I will no longer post in this topic.

Pax, I have other biblical threads to attend to. Perhaps join me (us) there?

I don't know why people would be mad at Jews. Even if it were the fault of was the fault of those specific people who did it, not their descendants. Of course I might be wrong but I thought it was the Romans who did the actual killing and beating. Do pepl get mad at the Italians? Seems utterly ridiculous to me.
Even if people did get mad at the Jews its ridiculous because they obviously don't understand their own religion. Jesus was born to die on the cross. It was his destiny which he ALLOWED to happen out of love for us. You can't say he willingly died for our sins and then get mad at the people who killed him. Makes no sense.

I wonder if the movie gets that point across or does it just make people angry? Can anyone comment?
