I love threads like this!

Right now I'm big on

-Elvis Costello
-Hawksley Workman-a Canadian singer/song writer/producer
-I just got George Harrison 33 1/3 on vinyl so I'm enjoying that

AND if Ds(3.5) and Dd(15m) are awake Beyonce Single Ladies...I like to watch them dance to it

Vampire Weekend
Iron & Wine (I can't get enough of "The Trapeze Swinger" lately.)
John Vanderslice

DD is really loving The White Stripes, Nina Nastasia, and Bob Marley lately, so I've been listening to that in the car a lot, which I don't mind one bit.

I feel kind of like a freak here but here goes....
Ever since we got back from a vacation in Beirut we can stop listening to a CD called Arabology we got there from a new Lebanese underground group called Y.A.S. The music is quite addicting.
Here are snipets of the new cd

and here is their only video:

The Gaslight Anthem. I cannot turn them off. So excited, they're in the studio right now!
And some really weird guy, Why?
I dunno, he's kinda vulgar and scary, but I can't stop!

DD (almost 3) refuses to listen to any male singers right now, she only wants a "mommas song" so we've been listening to a lot of Dido and Indigo Girls, although some of the Indigo Girls songs apparently don't pass as momma songs either

When I want mellow music, I go for some Trevor Hall.
My classic standby is Eisley!
I recently discovered Cursive, so I've had their cd "The Ugly Organ" on repeat.
Never Shout Never is absolutely my favorite right now though

Isn't cursive effin' amazing?!?!

I was lucky enough to go see them last year...when I was 8mo's preggo! Thankfully, it wasn't too moshy and I was able to be up front! Woo!

I'm listening to a lot of mellowish stuff lately.

The Xx is my newest obsession...Ds falls asleep to it in a snap...and, um, it's great sexy music

The Bird and the Bee.

M.I.A.

She & Him.

Of Montreal...

I have hundreds of cds on my computer (literally)...so I'm always cycling through. We're loving vampire weekend around here, too - even the kids!

So lucky! And The xx is awesome, my cousin sent me their cd in December, it's still on heavy rotation.

Michael Franti and Spearhead--love him and his band!!!
DH and I went to see him in concert a couple of weeks ago, and now we just can't get enough of his music.

Also, my dd's are really into Taylor Swift right now, so we listen to her a lot.

Also Bob Marley, Sublime, Vampire Weekend, Green Day, and the Dirty Heads
