I saw it in the theater, knowing nothing about it. At the time I was totally unfamiliar with Twilight* (just knew that Robert Pattinson was the guy from that Vampire movie). I loved most of it. I thought the love story between the two main characters, unfolded beautifully. I loved the relationship between Tyler and his sister. I really thought the characters were all great. I was however shocked at the end, and frankly felt kind of betrayed. I was really upset and couldn't get the story out of my head. It left me kind of depressed for almost a week. However I put it on my netflix queue and watched it again when it came out on DVD and decided I wanted to own it. Once I knew the ending was coming and it wasn't a shock, it was much easier for me to just enjoy the movie in the moment. Part of me still wants to turn the movie off 10 minutes before the end and just imagine that the story ends there, but I can enjoy the ending for what it is as well.
Susana -- How to Be is available on Netflix and an instant watch movie. I tried watching it but I couldn't get into it.
*At the time I also was not familiar with Emilie de Ravin and had not seen a single episode of LOST either. Somehow I became very interested in both LOST and then Twilight after I saw the movie, though it had nothing to do with seeing Remember Me at all. In fact it was only after having watched all six seasons of LOST (got a bit obsessive and watched everything in about a month) and then watching Twilight and New Moon on DVD, then getting a bit obsessed and finished all the books in a week, that I even noticed that these two things were connected through the stars of this Remember Me.
