DD has a project she's working on, and she needs music that mentions or is about seasons, months, or weather.

So far, I've come up with...

Summertime (with the great Ella Fizgerald and Louis Armstrong, damn that man could blow that horn!)

In the Summertime When the weather is hot

Dancing in the Streets

Try to Remember the Kind of September

Stormy Weather

Anyone got suggestions?

Cruel Summer
Autumn in New York
I'll Remember April
September in the Rain

I can probably think of a bunch more, but I'll stop and let other folks help too!

Summer in the City - The Lovin' Spoonful

Boys of Summer - Don Henley

Summer Breeze - Seals and Croft

Walking on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves

Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks

Song for a Winter's Night - Gordon Lightfoot

The River - Joni Mitchell

In the Bleak Mid-Winter - traditional song (I think Sarah McLachlan did a version)

Beach Boys - lots of summer songs

California Dreaming - Mamas and the Papas ("All the leaves are gone...")

We're Going to Be Friends - Jack Johnson (the lyrics are all about fall and back to school)

Time of the Season by the Zombies
Summer Wine by Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazelwood or by the Corrs
Forever Autumn from the War of the Worlds musical

Everything else I can think of has been said. My husband said Scarborough Fair, since parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme are seasonings. There are a lot of songs dealing with snow, it seems.

ETA: I searched through my iTunes library and found a few others
Summertime - DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince
Springtime - Spinal Tap
June is Bustin' Out All Over - from the musical Carousel
Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer - Stevie Wonder (he has another one that mentions months in the song, Never In Your Sun)
Wintersong - on Sarah MacLachlan's album of the same name.

Choral music: Two Eastern Pictures by Gustav Holst, I think one is called Spring and the other Summer

"What's your name, Who's your daddy..." gets stuck in my head and I will groove to it for days. Ah, that part with the percussion and the sighs. And the flute! Pure Genius.

But, is this song inappropriate for a young teen to perform to? Too sexy? When it came out in the late 60's it was rather scandalous, but now...?

Thanks!
