I am getting this book for my birthday next week and wanted to see if anyone here has read it yet and what your thoughts were. I love anything by Amanda Soule, and LOVE her blog (soulemama.com). Creative Family is my favorite of hers so far. Completely changed the way I viewed childrens birthdays....being more about a personal celebration of love and family and less about big parties and stuff!

I will let you all know my thoughts after I read it! Im excited about the crafts because I itching to start making christmas gifts lol

Ooh - let us know how it is!  Of her three books, this new one is the one I'm most drawn to.  Looks absolutely lovely!

I haven't seen it, but it sounds interesting.

I just got it the other day, and haven't had a chance to really dig through it, but it's lovely in an overview! Every month has a chapter, with essays, recipes, crafts, and different projects. Of course, the photos are gorgeous! I haven't gotten in to the essays yet, but the activities are all really quite accessible and most are things I hadn't really thought to do before, though some are things we already do (green smoothies, growing sprouts, etc). Speaking of, I need to get off of here and go read an essay or two before I fall asleep!

Would love to hear what other's favorite parts are...

For greater things are yet to come...
