First, my birthday subscription to ReadyMade was replaced by Better Homes and Gardens (Better Homes and Gardens?!?!) Then Real Food stopped their print edition and is now only available online (haven't checked out the online version yet). That was replaced by Martha Stewart Living. (If I had wanted Martha Stewart Living, I would have subscribed to that in the first place!) Yesterday what do I get in the mail? Family Circle. Oh no! I thought, not another one. My new favorite - Whole Living magazine - has stopped publishing and has now been replaced with Family Circle...

I know this is a first-world problem, but it's too bad all the good magazines seem to be going by the wayside. On the plus side, I recently discovered (McSweeney's) Lucky Peach and may subscribe to that as sort of a replacement.

I was crushed when ReadyMade went out of production.

I'm sad to hear about this. I didn't buy ReadyMade often but I liked it. I also picked up Whole Living once in a while - maybe once a year. So I guess I'm part of the problem.

Print magazine publishing is a very tough place right now.

I do have every issue of Craft Magazine and Living Crafts and they both stopped publishing in the past few years.

I check out some on-line magazines but nothing really replaces the enjoyment I get with the printed publications.

Back in October I subscribed to a black friday ad for 1 year subscription to Whole living. It was a good deal and and a magazine I really enjoyed. One month later I got my last issue and have been told it no longer will be publishing. So it's supposed to be replaced with something else. Not sure what they'll send instead. I'd rather just have a refund. I had never read Readymade.

I'd love to check out Taproot Magazine.

I have never read Whole Living magazine, but to be replaced with Family Circle would be irritating to me.
