Any podcast recommendations? I got in to listening to podcasts while I was in university, but since becoming a mama I forgot all about them. Any recommendations? What are you listening to these days?

Never miss:
This American Life
Freakonomics
StoryCorps

I download and pick and choose:
Fresh Air
Story of the Day
Diane Rehm Show
TED Talks/Education/Business

I also have a few Celiac related ones, but they're pretty boring.

I highly recommend TED Talks. I've rarely been disappointed and I've watched or listened to at least 100.

I definitely second Stuff You Should Know and This American Life. (You can listen to past episodes of This American Life from the archive on the website for free).

Quirks and Quarks from CBC Radio is among my favourites (and will be starting again after a summer hiatus). It is a very interesting and accessible science-related podcast. CBC Radio has a few other podcast that I selectively download from, too (The Current, Q:The Podcast).

o, and NPR has some great podcasts, too. I do not have any right now on my list, but for a long time, I was really into All Things Considered, and a few of the specific topic-related podcasts (Environment Food, etc.).

Savage Love with Dan Savage is also great.

Definitely look into CBC/radio. I'd recommend Q, The Current, Ideas, and I like books so The Next Chapter.

I've found Radiolabs is good site too, quirky little docs. I recall one funny episode called the Poop Train that looked at where NY city's sewage goes - if you didn't know, it actually gets turned into compost and shipped out on a train to farms in the West/Mid West .
