OMG Amanda!!! I am going to try to make it last at least for part of my vacation. I have a fantasy of grandma playing with the girls in the sand, as I lounge by the ocean reading....

Wow, the grocery store was a good place to go -- maybe 20 people were there for it. I'm a few chapters in and boy, is it good!

I finally got mine in my hot little hands. Can you belive I have ripped open the package yet, can I get a pat on the back. The kids and my parents are leaving for a few hours and I will have the house almost to myself(my sister will still be here). So I am making a serious effort to wait till then to even open the package although after coming to this site that is VERY hard to do. I just don'tw ant to get started to have to stop when someone wants/needs something :
I do hereby solemly swear to pace myself though and not blaze through it in a day. I HAVE to.

PLEASE PLEASE can we use spoiler tags? Maybe I should start a new thread? Or just not come back until I'm finished, but that could take a long time.

It would be nice to have a few threads, so that we could go talk about what we've read so far, but no farther. Like, first 10 chapters, second 10 chapters, whole book.

??

I read the NY Times Review, or at least some of it. Until I got to the part that tells who the new DADA teacher is. : I can't believe they'd put that kind of stuff in a review! They should know that we don't want to know! I mean, I want to know but I want to find out when I'm reading my copy (which won't be for 3 more weeks! ).

Argh! I can't believe that I have that nasty little bit of knowledge stuck in my head now and I won't be able to get full satisfaction for weeks!

I'm very excited that I got mine too! I did the free shipping from Amazon and the message said I wouldn't get it until next week.

I'm an insomniac anyway, and what with pregnancy...

Anyway, I've not read any reviews of it at all. That's totally irritating that they would give that away in a review.

Oooh, I got my copy in the mail. Pretty much first thing when I woke up this morning. DD was w/ my sister last night so I got to sleep in and woke up right before the mailman got here. I still haven't cracked it open yet though. My sister brought DD home right as the mailman was dropping of the book.

You can even read and fold laundry. I caught my husband doing that very task this morning. :LOL

I said, "Honey, the laundry can wait. Go read!"

Well, my dd is already one-third of the way through the book! Then I get to read it.

What's funny to me is--the book is already available on ebay!!!!!!
