Lizc, thanks for looking at the site. I'm glad you found it to your liking.

MotherVerse is actually a printed magazine. We do offer a PDF version as well for those that prefer it but I love the printed word so we go through the extra work to put it in print.

If you're tight on funds(join the club just email me your name and addy and I would be happy to send you a free Fall issue. You can get my email from the site.

I checked out your site as well. When I get the money I will definatly be subbing....looks like a great mag.
Thanks

The Sun is fabulous! We got it while I was a kid and I loved reading it when I was a teenager discovering things that I thought my parents didn't know about (funny, b/c it was my mom's mag). I should get it now. Thanks for the reminder.

I get Harper's, The Nation and : Martha Stewart Living

We get Mothering, of course and...

AOPA Pilot
AOPA Flight Training
(AOPA is Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association)
Aviation International News
Lattitudes and Attitudes (crusing/sailling lifestyle magazine)

Then, for random reasons, we get these in the mail for free:
Parents (one big formula ad!!)
American Baby (one big formula ad!!)
Business and Commercial Aviation
Better Homes and Garden (no opinion)

For free in the mail...WHY???? :
Hispanic (we're primarily white)
Women's Golf Digest (I don't have ANY interest in golf)

I'm sure there are others...but my brain is waffling.

The last one I subscribed to - back when we had disposable income - was Stay Free! It looks at "mass media and American culture". I especially like their coverage of PR and ads.

Another big fan of The Sun. It is the best mag out there, I swear. IT is so beautiful, sad, funny, etc.
I also like Adbusters, Bitch , Brain Child , Mothering, etc.
I used to get this music mag called CMJ. It came with a CD each month with really good bands.
Oh, and there is this cool craft magazine called Ready Made.
For cooking mags, I really like Cooks Illustrated and the new one, Cook's Country. I also get the EveryDay food magazine. They are both great.

My DS gets Wild Animal Baby. Pretty cool.
My DH gets Tech Review, Science Today, and Math Something or Other ( he is a brainiac Math teacher!!)

My crappy mags that I pick up sometimes are People type. I know they are crap, but they are my little addiction. When I am feeling especially poor, I will pick up the $1.99 cheaper version of People ( what are they called? Life and Style? )

I like magazines. They are all I can handle sometimes after along day and i love readin them in the bathtub.

Froggy,

I don't have any substantiation of that. I just heard it at the local holistic moms meeting. I hope you get your subscription or something comparable!

A couple newer magazines I like are Eating Well and Violet.

We also get Mothering, National Geographic, and for some bizarre reason Bazaar magazine. I never subscribed.

I subscribe to Bust and Utne right now, no funds for other subs. I buy when I can: Atlantic, Bitch, Eating Well, Natural Home & Garden. I haven't picked up The Sun in ages--thanks, all, for the reminder!

Just to find out why my friends like it so much, I just picked up a copy of O! It's a lot better than I expected, but all the ads are annoying. I doubt I'll be subscribing, but I might add it to my "pick up once in a while" list.

I got a free copy of MotherVerse, (thanks so much bluegreenturtle!) and I still have to open the envelope and read it! (I finally stuck it in my bag I take to work to read on my lunch break, as the kids aren't giving me any reading time at home right now).

Well Devina it's only our second issue(if you have a copy of Fall that is) so there are some rough spots but you'll have to tell me what you think when you do get around to reading it.
