When I was younger, I loved listening to a record that told the story set to the music. I have no idea which version I had and it seems that there are quite a few out there... Which is your favorite?
TIA

I haven't been able to find an audio only, just the cartoon version on DVD, but my favorite is the one narrated by Sterling Holloway (the voice of Winnie the Pooh in the original Disney films). When I was a kid I had it on vinyl but I can't find it on CD or MP3.

When I was a kid, we used to listen to Peter and the Wolf in the dark!!!!

It was the Disney version then- which I have not been able to find. For my kids, we have the version narrated by Jack Lemmon.

It has always been one of my favs!

I like the one with Sir Alec Guiness as the narrator. I checked out multiple versions from the library's CD collection, trying to find the one I remembered as a child and then found my old tape in a drawer.
