1. Alright, is it eeevviiillllll? Definitely not!
2. Is it from the Hobbit? I do not believe it is mentioned, no.
3. Is it a person? Nope!
4. Is it a place? Nope!
5. Is it a thing?? Um, yes.
6. Is it an animal? No.
7. Is it a weapon? No.
8. Is it ever in the possession of one of the members of the Fellowship? No.
9. Is it a plant type of thing? Yes!!
10. Is it used to help heal one of the Fellowship members? No, quite the opposite.
11. Oh, oh, Is it Old Man Willow??? No, but that was my husband's guess!

Remember, I said that was kind of a trick answer. Don't make too many assumptions.

12. Is it in The Fellowship of the Ring? I've got to fudge a bit on this one. The thing itself, as such, does not appear in FOTR. It *may* be *alluded* to, but I'm not certain. I would have to pore through the whole book to find out if it's mentioned, I can't find a quick reference guide to where it's mentioned... If I do find out for sure I'll re-post. But suffice it to say, anyway, that the thing itself does not appear in the FOTR.

EDIT: Found a good source. It is indeed mentioned in the first book.

And I'd like to slightly amend my answer to #8... one of the members of the Fellowship does, briefly, kind of sort of have "possession" of it, only in the books. It's handled completely differently in the movies.

Alright, I keep thinking Athelas/Kingsfoil but can't for the life of me figure out how it would be used for anything other than healing. So I'm going to ask anyway, just to get it out of my system:

Is it athelas/kingsfoil?

Wait! Is it symbelmene (probably not spelled right, but you know, the flower that grows on graves)?

Okay, here's the hint. I'll clarify the trick answer. This thing does not heal one of the Fellowship members. I said "quite the opposite". That is NOT in the sense of "heal is the opposite of hurt". It's that the 'healing' takes place in the opposite direction. The actions of the fellowship, end up 'healing' this thing, at least in a manner of speaking.

OOH! I bet I know what it is, but I've already had a couple turns so I'm going to sit the rest of this one out.

19. Is it the Tree of Gondor?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

In the movies, the tree is dead and then is shown to be flowering again when Aragorn returns to claim his kingship. In the books, the tree is dead, but he just happens to find a sapling growing up in the mountains and replants it. It's something like the fourth tree, previous ones have died for various reasons, but it still has direct lineage to an ancient ancestor and has always been special to the Numenorians.

Hmm, I have a thing for picking Numenorian bits, don't I lol... didn't even realize that when I chose this one.

Okay Murihiku, congrats and you're up!
