How are you feeling? Taking it super easy I hope.
Where is coffee??? Lol. I feel like I'm womb stalking her.
I have battled pica since I was a kid.. It's flaring up again. Just a craving so far... But it so annoying. This may be the first time I've actually admitted it.
I'm trying to eat lots of spicy foods now- craving them, actually. Might as well- I'm already doing all of the other fun things to make baby come out! This is such an exercise in patience.
Lol coffee! Well hello due date! I'm glad you're having fun doing all the things that will make baby come. I hope baby makes an appearance soon - I'm pretty excited.
i am doing good just really tired i go back to my ob next monday and then to the high risk ob the monday after that and i will be 28 weeks then cant believe i have made it this far but i have and still pregnant
oh coffee i know you cant wait to have that baby i hope you get to have the baby tonight
Thanks Uriver for directing me over to here! And yes, I am holding onto the doctor saying that everything looks good at 6 weeks. I have to do that.
1 dh Scott, a 12 year old daughter Brittanny, a 5 year old daughter Olivia, 1 named Gunnar, 1 named Zoey, 1 Onyx, and 1 Sport. Love ,, ,morning ,afternoon and . Hate doing the and .
yep you do it all any of us loss mommy can do
100%--I know!!! So exciting. Three months does not seem long at all. Especially with school and holidays. Guessing I have 14wks left, though this will probably be the one to go to 42, lol.
Coffee-maybe you're craving for a reason :) Baby wants a jump start out. Any ctx?
Uriver-you have 2 drs? I was thinking you just had high risk ob by now.
Front page list-should the 2012 rainbows be kept up? Just wondered. It makes it pretty long, and for some of them, it's over a year. Maybe just 2013 rainbow babies, since it's 4 months from the end of the year already? Just a thought as I was scrolling down to see who was next. Looks like Sept-Dec are going to be lots of rainbows :)
What are you craving? I have a friend who was eating corn starch by the spoonful while she was pregnant. She was pretty freaked out when her doc told her that she had pica and that corn starch wasn't food. Dirt and clay also seem to be common cravings with pica.

I just realized looking at the list that I'm half way. I still am not feeling any movements, maybe some flutters, but by now with my son my husband could feel him kicking. I have a level 2 ultrasound down in San Francisco ( over 2 hours away) on Wednesday. I spent two weeks looking for childcare for my son and just talked someone into doing it. We will be gone for almost 8 hours, and we live on the opposite coast from our families, it's reminding how intense things well be if we make it to delivery.
uriver- I hope it goes well at your next several appointments, it seems like the high risk ob should see you asap!
coffee- I hope you don't have to wait too long! I know you are uncomfortable, but I hope you can find a way to pamper yourself everyday until your little one arrives.
Uriver: Thanks for the new thread! And I'm so happy you've made it this far too!!
Coffee: So excited for you! Any time now!
Thebyr: I had mild pica with my last few living children but it was pretty mild. I craved anything powdery. Powdered laundry detergent and Comet looked AWESOME although I never let myself taste it (almost tasted the detergent once...) I substituted by eating powdery candy like sweet tarts, smarties, pixie stix, etc. I wasn't anemic at the time and I have no idea where it came from. As soon as the baby was born I couldn't stand to look at any of those things.
Kimberly: I too think it's a good thing that the doctor said you looked great if you were 6 1/2 weeks. Because my O date has varied widely in the past (and you add in the uncertainty of implantation) I know I've gotten my dates wrong in my head and was expecting to be further along than I was.
Hello 100%, Tenk, pattimomma, hippy mum, writinglove and Sienna!
AFM: Took a bit of a break there from posting although I was reading along. Just feeling really mentally tired and spread too thin if you know what I mean. Things are going fine here, thank God. I got my two steroid shots Thursday and yesterday (no problems). They put me on the monitors for an hour when I had the first shot which I wasn't expecting. The nurse was dubious about getting a strip on a 24weeker but we got a great one. (She went to show it off at the nurse's station, lol.) I had one really awful run of close contractions a week or two ago but other than that things have been fine and no bleeding/spotting. I was surprised by the announcement Thursday when I got to the OB office that I was having my 1 hour glucose that morning. Thank goodness it went fine too: 127. Yay for no 3 hour! My mom has actually accepted this pregnancy might end happily (not that she's been a real downer, just not making plans - I don't blame her) and has said she'll get us our car seat. So exciting to actually talk about getting a car seat! Like I might have a real live baby at the end of this! My big personal goal is getting to 34 weeks so the baby doesn't have to be choppered out to the nearest good NICU (here they only take 34 and after). That's just 10 more weeks. Whoa. I would like to go past that but we'll see how things go. I'll be happy to get to 34.
Wife to DH for 17 years, Mom to 4 girls (15, 13, 12 and 9 months), 2 boys (11, 7), and (13 wk mc 4/10/11), (13 week mc 12/12/11). (11 wk mc 6/25/14)
oh i have been see my high risk since i was ten weeks i see him twice a month and my reg ob twice a month as well i guess they are just keep a really close eye on me but my reg ob did not want to stop see them they just want me to see him too
i think that mite be a sounds good hippy about shorting the list i think i will do that in a few i am going to go to july that way all the babies and mommys have been on there for a year
Hippy- I'd be ok with taking off the 2012 rainbows too.
Jildez- do you have a Doppler? I used mine whenever I got nervous about not feeling anything.
M Anna- I felt the same way about 34 weeks.. I can finally breathe now. Glad you got the shots.. I thinks doc forgot about them since I hadn't had any contractions after 23 weeks. I was kinda nervous that baby would come early and not be able to breathe.
I'm still womb stalking coffee. I can't believe I'm next after her. Wow.
My angel baby's due date was aug 7th last year, I can't believe that it's been almost 2 years since we started this baby journey... And now we're about to meet our rainbow.
Checking in to say I'm reading along and cheering for you all!!
Also, still have my Doppler for sell if anyone needs it. $50 ships free and includes a full size bottle of gel
Tenk ~ happily married with lots of kids
as for your Angel birth day , I don't know how it will be for you, or child would have been bitten around June 24th, and for about a week I felt empty and detached. my husband Kelly saying I needed to focus on our current pregnancy, but I needed to grieve, so I did.
Thebyr can u just rid your house of Ajax so the temptation isn't there? Would that help?
Where r the bump pics?
J&J, I'm trying to find the right way to ask this question without bringing on unnecessary worry - Have the doctors evaluated Cole for hypoxic brain injury? Will they be monitoring his development throughout his childhood? The reason I ask is because if he did have any issues he would probably qualify for Katie Beckett Deeming Waiver which is medicaid for a child with a disability. It would pick up all the bills from the NICU. There are no income limitations for Katie Beckett so you could make millions of dollars a year but if your child has a qualifying disability he would still get medicaid. He would also qualify for Babies Can't Wait. A friend of mine had a preemie and the issues didn't start to show up until the child was a year and a half old. Katie Beckett has been a life saver for them. My son has Katie Beckett because of his autism. Of course I hope Cole is perfect! I just wanted to make you aware of the programs.
Uriver, You asked me about my signature. The IEP binder club is just slang for being a momma of a child with special needs. I never attend an IEP meeting without my binder which contains every piece of documentation regarding my sons' (I have two kids with IEPs) disabilities, current level of function, progress and so on. How's your DH doing? Have you been able to communicate about his concerns and fears? Keep cooking Amberlee
manna, Your pica sounds very texture based while thebyr's sounds taste/smell related. It's interesting the unusual stimulus our bodies crave.
jildez, My work is all federally funded projects as well. I hear you on the financial struggles. Because of the number of children we have my family is just $5 under so we get WIC. We have nothing left in savings.

Yes patti, that sounds right. I'll remember the smell or taste and them bam - I want some. I don't eat it anymore... But the craving is real. At least I can talk about it without wanting it..it just strikes at certain times.
My belly is huge, my left hip and back are in shambles, my stretch marks look like complete devastation and I have carpal tunnel now and can barely use my right hand for more than two minutes at a time. What happened to my "frolicking in the sunflowers" type pregnancy? Lol
Hope everyone is ok, has a great week and gets to enjoy some great weather. I'm officially home bound now. The back and hip pain is too much - I have one week of work left , so I'll be working from home. Baby in 3 weeks.... Can NOT wait. So excited! Allowing myself to let it sink in now and be in this moment. I'm finally just being pregnant instead of just trying to STAY pregnant - if that makes any sense.
