I love ring slings, they're easy and quick. I've used a hotsling for easy in/out for short errands too. I just traded for a olive and applesauce buckle carrier and so far like it. I had a mei tai but the straps were too long for me and not handy, but some people love them. I like having weight distributed over two shoulders this time, better. And it's really easy to nurse in. The one I have doesn't have a pocket in the waist, so might look for one that does, as a place to put keys or a few dollars.

Patti-Womanly art of bf says spotting and cycles don't always mean fertile, but to consider fertility back. Some first cycles aren't strong enough to support pregnancy. I'd consider any fertile fluid fertile. I mark down mine, with occasional temps. I don't have a copy off tcoyf but doesn't she say to chart once cycles return? I think even bf, once past 6 months the temps will be more stable. Someone in tta or bf forum might know more. If you didn't get a cycle before 11 m before, I'd recheck latch just to make sure it's correct and baby nursing long enough each breast. Did they do an internal at 6 wks?

Very pretty :-)

Any tips for baby becoming fussy at breast due to wanting to look around! Thinking go to a quiet room maybe? She is very interested in what her brother and daddy are up to so is on and off a lot!

Lovely sling, uriver!! I have been thinking about making one for me too, but it's just one more project...

Sienna, Catherine does that. Some of my babies are "down to business" even if a hurricane is going on, but others have to be nursed in a quiet room, otherwise they're popping off every few seconds. Catherine has started wanting to watch me type on the computer. *eye roll* If she's seriously hungry, she can ignore anything. But if I'm in a hurry, and really, really need her to be efficient, it's better if I'm in a quiet, boring place.

Can't remember who posted about it first, but I still chart fertile fluid on a FF chart. Obviously not NOW, but I was doing as soon as my cycles started back (at 6 weeks, as usual, sigh).

I'm 7 weeks today and having no symptoms. I took another test just to make sure I'm not crazy, and it was POSITIVE instantly. Still... I know I had very few and delayed symptoms with Catherine. I need to go back and stalk myself to see what was going on! lol

Wow m Anna I guess u don't have to get rid of any baby stuff now.
I'm terrified of getting pregnant ever again.

Mother's Day sucked so bad. I just want to cry. Both boys sick. I have no clue of what's up w cole. I want to die! The screaming wouldn't stop, even my nephew was miserable. My husband did absolutely nothing for me but got me a card. I got no time to myself but the drive home from my patents place, then I got home and Coles whining continued. I am so rattled I'm not even taking off to stay home w cole tomorrow. We will see how long he lasts at daycare. He is teething and fever and won't eat or drink a bottle since Thursday. Constant ibuprofen then Tylenol and oh ya , no sleep!!!!!!
And since Jackson died, moms day is HARD. And his angelversary is in 12 days . And and and I could go on. I'm in a mood. It really hurts that my husband did nothing for me. I guess that's why Mother's Day comes before Father's Day. Now I don't have to worry about anything but a card. Ugh

Uriver, nice sling, I like the colors

Sienna, that's pretty co mom. Can you try nursing in a carrier? So,stores a nursing necklace works, it keeps baby focused on something close by while. Using.

J&J, so sorry. Have you tried homeopathic teething stuff? Tylenol and ibrofen can cause bounce back pain. Did he have any vaccines recently?

Mother's Day is tough for me too, our loss was two days before it.

Aw, J&Js, so sorry to hear you had a bummer day! And so sorry to hear Cole is feeling so bad! I hope it is nothing serious! I have learned to expect nothing, and if there is something I do want, I tell DH in advance. But mine was equally rough as I could hardly catch a break--had been up 2 hrs the night before with the 2 year old, and the another hour with the baby. I did get to sleep 2 extra hrs in the morning while DH gave the boys screen time I mean watched the kids, but I could not have functioned otherwise I don't think. Oh, and I asked him to do the dishes which was actually startling to see, making me realize how LONG it has been since he has done that!! Lol!

It's funny, after having the 3 yr old in the hospital while nursing the baby, normal life with 3 has seemed like a breeze...!

Ok so it sounds like most of us had a tough time on Mother's Day for many reasons.
Yikes glad it's over. Cole has slept the past 2 nights... Weird feeling!
I went to group last night for loss parents. 2 new families. Sad. Makes me realize how far I've come.
Hippy I have these teething tablets that dissolve that seem to work. I don't know the name of them tho.

Yeah its funny Mday can suck and be great I will never forget being on bedrest waiting to see if I had a threatened or real mc. DPs mom was with his mom who was dying. Those lonely darkest parts of the soul eh? I look at my smiling baby and think there was one just like her that never will be. That was only real to me. Sigh. Mothers day.

8 might be enough

Mother's day was founded by Anna Jarvis in honor of her mother who had lost 7 of her 13 born children. Seven! Just imagine the heartbreak. She is probably turning over in her grave from the commercialization that has taken place!

I always try to have no expectations for mother's day, and that usually works! Just treasure those hugs and smiles from the kids, let them imprint on you for a moment amongst the chaos.

Hugs to all of you!

I've never met anyone who loved to pump. I worked on Mother's Day. Like I do every year. Doesn't really bother me. I have low expectations.

Hey Sienna-F! I'm terrible about signing on these days. I feel like I'm just trying to catch my breath every day.

ME and Baby B are awesome. He's crawling, standing, stepping, trying to cruise... still EBF though - he is just not into Solids AT ALL. I'm ok with it though. I'll nurse as long as he wants me to. It's funny - I was shooting 6 months and then a year... but now it's WHATEVER. He'll be 9 months next week. It goes so fast.

How is Saffron doing?

We'll be swimming this summer for sure. I already bought all his swim gear.

Hey ladies - I'm so super bad about logging in these days. I need to get it together.

So...AF has NOT returned to me yet. I pump 3 times at work and BF every evening and overnight... and exclusively on the weekends, vacations, sick days, etc. Is it weird that at almost 9 months... she's not back yet? I think I'm ovulating though - I get these weird dips in milk every 3 weeks. Whatcha think?
