Uriver do you go next Monday for test results or did you find out what the sore breast was? What type of nipples on thee bottles? She might be taking in too much air. Try feeding upright and see if burp part way if fussy

Ooh, got to take a long enough shower to shave and just stand under the water? Haven't had a long shower since before baby. Bought myself a skirt and two tops this week found on Christmas clearance smile.gif

Any tips on sleeping bra less when you leak a lot?sleep om a towel and remember to catch drips with a spit cloth or something?

I got the Pink Victoria's Secret line bras that are like sports bras. Won't work if u have big boobs. I wear a hoodie at night w the bra under and just pull it up to feed him at night. Very convenient

No sorry. I'd assume pediatric cardiologists are evaluating her? Can you get a second opinion ? Is it something they just watch?

mild left pulmonary artery stenosis: this would be some sort of artery narrowing.

secundum atrial septal defect: Septal defect would be a hole, I *think* between the two halves of the heart. My cousin's daughter had surgery on hers but I know they say most will close on their own depending on the size.

mildy dilated right ventricle: I am not sure on this one but I think it sounds like one of the chambers of the heart is a bit larger than it is suppose to be?

I am not a medical person but just from the little bit of NICU knowledge I have and my cousin's daughter who ended up needing her septal defect closed, those would be what they sound like to me. My cousin's daughter didn't have her's closed until she was 8 months but it was an emergency situation at that point and her aorta was also not working correctly. Mostly Amberly's heart just isn't working as efficiently as it should but I don't know what the treatments would be.

J&J that looks like the type of bra that would work. The sleep bras from target are racer back and bother me after awhile and don't work with all tops. Do you wear them other than for sleep?
The lighter sports bras I have come up a little high to nurse comfortable in and even the XL is a bit snug, my wool pads almost always wick greensad.gif I'm going to check those bras out. I'm a 36d, think they would fit? Full d when full milk breast.

I'm so mad the nursing bras I bought aren't working out, I don't know what to do with them.

Uriver, I don't know. Are you meeting with a pediatric specialist for this? I would if me. I hope it's something maybe she'll outgrow.

Sorry hippy they def wont work if u r a d. They r sized pretty small. BUT Marshall's has a bunch of similar sport bra type that could work and cheap. New balance actuallyThe one in my pic isn't supportive or strong enough to use in day.

Good luck tomorrow Uriver! Fingers crossed for good news for Amberly. (I still love that nme by the way)

J&J, I was going to ask you if you had an induction with your delivery for your pregnancy after Jackson? I did with my first pregnancy after our stillborn but not with my last pregnancy. For some reason my mommy intuition is telling me to have an early induction with this one and it is making me nervous since my intuition is usually very good. I am anxious to discuss it with my OB on the 16th but I think he would be pretty open to doing it.

Oh bailey u don't want to ask me but I'll share. At 37&5 days we induced, like usual it was a very fast birth. He was measuring big so I felt confident. Also I was -2 station for a long time. My bladder was weakening. I was 109% effaced. So he is born and it took the staff 1:40 min to realize he wasn't breathing right. Poor baby. They found extremely immature lungs. Very rare. He was so bad he was transferred to a level 4 Nicu as the one he was born at sucked and even blew his lung open-pneumothorax and almost killed him. His first ride will always be in an ambulance. He was intubated for a week and drugged as he wanted to pull at the intubation. I almost lost this sweet rainbow. It was soo traumatic. I couldn't hold him forever! He always recognized our voices from his first minute which was so special.iF u do induce u have to get the steroid shots early on, like by week 32 I think. Before cole was born I really trusted that he would be healthy and I'd finally have him. But no, I left that same hospital and same exact doir way without a baby. But Cole Jackson Phillip is very well now and catching up on milestones.

Obviously I understand your need/ want for an induction. I had the induction due to my anxiety as we lost Jackson at 37w. Thank u Jackson for Cole!

J&J's, wow, I had forgotten that he was induced! Oh, that was sooo stressful!!! I'm so sorry you went through that but thank goodness he is thriving now!! Knowing what you know now, do you think he was less than 37w5d? Would you have waited longer? Or was the stress of passing Jackson's gestation too great?

I know the day we conceived so I know he was that old. Ttc was a mathematical precise time so I'm sure of that. I'm still trying to make sense of it all. I certainly would not have induced if I knew that. But, I know he was to be born that weekend naturally anyway- my bowels were clearing out for days before induction. Yikes I can't get pregnant again! Done!

So if he would have been born a few days post July 10 I think he still would have had problems. That's how bad it was. I loved the second Nicu he was at. Very good.

Wow, that is crazy! Did you have an amnio to check for lung maturity before your induction? I had an amnio before mine but I was meaning to ask my OB how accurate it was.

I think he does. He doesn't stop talking about a next one or even more - crap he makes plans ... and I would but I'm so overweight, I don't want to stop breastfeeding, I'd love to go away some where tropical get drunk, smoke a cigar, sleep in, etc. I'm not going off the pill any time soon. I was so miserable in my last trimester physically.

What's cm like after a baby?

Varies when you are BF. Although, I think I really didn't have any when I was BF so I would think some would be possibly trending towards fertile?

Shiloh take a dang break from even speaking about pregnancy! And he wasn't much help around the house right? Forget another and enjoy this babe while u can. Are u back to work? I didn't think u were to be off long.

Bailey I was told there was no way to detect lung maturity beforehand. I'll never forget him getting extubated and being a rag doll before he finally took breaths on his own! Nightmare. She had to pat and wiggle him to get him going.

At 5 mo my mucus came back. No period yet as I'm nursing and pumping away! I'm thinking about pumping twice a day and not 3. Cole is soon 6 mo and enjoying food. 7am 10:30 am and 3pm is pump schedule. I'm thinking about going to 7& 12??? But my boobs are ready by 10:30!!! Weaning is going to hurt so bad...
Hippy glad the spit up is slowing

Engorgement is a B---! Weaning is no fun.

On lung maturity, I will have to research. Maybe amnio is just procedure and not really that effective? Hmmm.....

I am getting way excited for this babe to get here, and way excited to be done being pregnant. I am not really uncomfortable yet but its at the point of just making everything a little bit harder and I wake up a little more sore everyday now. Baby just turned 8 months on the 3rd and is up to 18.75 lbs. and very wiggly and my back feels crooked and tight and my feet are sore from never sitting. She is starting to get the hang of being mobile and I know she is dying to go on her own so I am hoping that is coming soon. I tried to take a bath last night and DH had just taken a shower and ran the dishwasher and we had no hot water! So bummed.
