hi all... I don't have alot of time to spend searching the boards here today, but I am needing to make simple picture schedules for our 5 yr old with ASD. Can anyone share with me any sites where I might be able to print off(preferably free) picture symbols, such as for nightime routines and morning routines? i.e. pick up toys, brush tooth, pajamas on, get dressed, eat breakfast, etc.TIA :)

http://www.visualaidsforlearning.com/products/index.htm

http://trainland.tripod.com/pecs.htm

Scroll down that one until you get to where it starts say "PECS Pictures Page five"

When I made them for my ds I would print them off, cut, glue onto construction paper and then use clear packing tape to "laminate" it cheaply.

sammysmammy and beachcomber like this.

Steph, DH Jason (1-1-11), DS Owen (10-3-03) and DS Kai (10-13-11)

Years ago (2008? lol) I made some for my son because getting ready in the morning was a huge PITA. I just drew some super basic ones on my computer and then stuck them to the bulletin board in our kitchen for him. I loaded them to my blog for other parents to use as well. Nothing fancy, but they got the job done.

Mom to Joscelyne 14, Andrew 12, and Mackenzie 10 and wife to Nate.

Yes! Totally a fantastic idea!

I wish I'd thought to post asking about this when I made my DD's visual schedule. I pored over the internet and clip art for hours coming up with appropriate images to use. Then I printed them, cut them out, pasted them to cardstock and stuck velcro on the back. We put a strip of opposite velcro on the front of a clear sturdy plastic envelope and that's what we use to do the schedule. The little pics are stored inside.
