Normally I dislike talking to the teacher as DS usually does "bad" things. Today the teacher praised DS and said he's top of his class.

Anyone elses kiddo doing great in school?

Thanks. He was diagnosed after starting school and the teacher told me how proud she is of how far he's come. She's not "holding him back" and gives him challenging things to do that the other kids haven't started yet.

Awww!  That's awesome!  There is something absolutely amazing about seeing kids who have struggled with things succeed.  It makes your heart feel like it's expanding!  :love

My oldest son, who is on the autism spectrum, had a really really rough time with behavior from 4-6th grade.  In 7th grade, things started to turn around.  By 8th he was blooming.  He's now a freshman in highschool and he's been on high honor or honor roll all year. He has been running JV and varsity cross country and track, and he just won the gold in his SkillsUSA freshman competition and is going on to states next month.  I cry happy tears when I think of all he has been through and how far he's come. :happyt
