We took our trip to Billings yesterday to meet the new Neurosurgeon, Urologist and have another Renal Ultrasound. Long day. Sigh...

MRI does show some of the lipoma on her lower spine. However, since our NS in Southern Cal did the surgery, the new one doesn't know how much was left. So we will use this MRI as a baseline. The plan right now is to have another MRI in June. Then he will be able to tell if its growing or not.

We also met the new Urologist. We went over what our routine is and he said that is great. Continue to Cath her three times a day. He also suggested a larger Cathetor, so we need to get those ordered. Bad news is we suspected another UTI and she does. So off to get more medicine. So in June she will have (and I can't remember which test) either another Renal Ultrasound or VCUG. One of those two. LOL

He said the cranberry juice is a great thing to do. We talked to him about her constipation/bowel troubles and he suggested pear or apricot nectar. He said that should help that issue. We said we may need to see a Gastroenterologist (sp?) down the road.

So we had a good day. Friday we see the Orthopedic Surgeon again and will set up her achilles tendon release surgery. Right now that will be the end of this month or first part of March. That also will be done in Billings.

Her achilles tendon release surgery is scheduled for next Wed, the 28th. I am thinking I need to get her a couple of more sweatpants. She will be in full leg cast for two weeks, then a shorter cast for four more weeks. I don't think her jeans will be able to go over the cast. Hope I can still find them. Alot of the stores here (which aren't many) are getting spring clothes in.
