He does latch on the breast and likes to comfort suck but not getting milk that way and doesn't like me to do compressions. We just have a lot to work on.

He is a blessing and I am growing in faith each day.
This is wonderful! ! Remember we're always here for you, in good times and bad.

Just had to post, YAY for having him home and things going more smoothly.

OUr dd is 17 mos and has Ds. We didn't know until she was born either. It was a real rollercoaster and those first few mos were just ...really hard. But really, seriously, things are so good now! It just gets better and better. I promise! (well, you're already finding that out though )

Don't know if anyone posted this already (had to skim pg 2 since she's here wanting to nursey to sleep lol) but downsyn.com was a great source for me, lots of moms and dads full of info and support

Or if you just want to kvetch about Ds in general, you can pm me

You and your incredible boy made it home in half the time they predicted!!! WOW! Already you are both exceeding expectations and limitations! So glad you are home and getting to bond, and that the rest of your family is getting that too.

Keep taking care of yourself and ask for whatever help you need, be it in your 3D community or here. Hugs to you, mama.
