Hi Ladies! My daughter who is 3.5 years old was diagnosed with Non-obstructive sleep apnea recently. However, I still have yet to get in to see the sleep doctor about treatment options. Their earliest appt? JANUARY!!! Im really getting mad too, so for the next 5 months my daughter is going to just have to have miserable sleep???
Anyway, Im having no luck finding anything information wise online about pediatric non obstructive sleep apnea. Anyone have more information, or have a child who has this as well? I wont hold you liable for information, I am just trying to educate myself on the different treatment options and what causes it etc.
Thanks agian!

maybe look up "central sleep apnea" instead. Cause it's not really called "non-obstructive sleep apnea." that's just more of a way of saying what it isn't.

My son has it and to hear the people that dx'd his, it was scary. They said there was really no fixing it but that it was part and parcel of his overall developmental issues--so by trying to help his overall development, hopefully his brain would start to work to fix the central apnea as well.

That was about 2 years ago. We are overdue to go back, but developmentally he is LEAPS AND BOUNDS beyond where he was then. And he sleeps, but that is the result of fish oil daily (found that little gem completely by accident).

Hopefully, you have far more useful doctors than I did...
