You girls crack me up!

Yup, caught me too, trying to make my child's Autism worse... my Wi Fi stays on all day and night. I know I can't be the only one who read The Geek Syndrome and then read this and went... uh duh. Really, if Autism is higher amoung families in IT/web fields then wouldn't they be surrounded by Wi Fi more often? So that (Just IMO) would be the link to Autism and Wi Fi, but not causing it. (But I'm in the camp of it being genetics and The Geek Syndrome would support that) Yeah, just my ramblings. I'm a geek, a geek that would most likely be dx'd with an ASD, I don't see Autism as a bad thing.

Maybe Autism is caused by aliens that are using our Wi Fi signals to reach a part of our population to help them evolve into a master race and take over our world.

I could buy that. But what about my microwave?! Isn't anyone trying to get us through it?! Now my microwave is kind of lonely.

Nah, I just like super-smart guys with a sense of humour who love their kids. Fortunately for your DP, I already found myself one and married him.

Otherwise, we'd of course have to run away and be nerds together .

now now, dont worry, the martians are still working on effective communication via microwaves, one day they will be able to get us to understand. I've heard beans are a good food for communicating

Microwaves were the first trial and most effective means of communication, but we just couldn't understand the message. Therefore they went to plan B, Wi Fi. They must first evolve our species to the point where we understand the microwave message.

makes sense........ I am left out in the cold with the old technology, no wi fi here I could always stop into panara bread to communicate i guess.

Huh. Now we're linking the alien anal probes that have happened to thousands of people because sometimes after beans, my butt communicates a lot with me! :

Microwaves are part of the alien plot to make earthlings fat from too much microwave food. That's where autistics come in, but I'm still waiting for instructions from the mothership. It's given on a need-to-know basis.

I assume it will involve driving the now-microwaved-to-fatness normals to insanity by annoying repetitive actions.

All this talk of microwaves reminded me of something that happened Saturday night.

I had a bad dream and woke up to tell dh about it. Usually he's great about comforting me and calming me. (This dream involved the baby being kidnapped.) This time he just told me, "It's ok. We have a secret microwave. Shhh. It's secret. The microwave."

OMG, I am completely LMAO at "Autism: It's what's for dinner"

You know right now that lurkers must think we're all nuts. At least we now know it's not use, it's the microwaves.

It is 11pm. I am in the business center of a hotel with DS who has finally learned a word.

Guess what word he learned?

It begins with S and ends with hit.

Oh and DD now is copying every thing I say. She actually repeated "oh damn it" today and said it over and over and over.

Oh and I love microwaved popcorn. So I guess that plus my wireless interwebz made her that way. :
