Finch is on my MySpace, and based on a comment someone left her, seems to have had her baby and is well.

Update: The baby is here. He's beautiful and sweet and perfect. Ds is doing well, handling the transition well.

Mama ain't so good. I had my first full blown panic attack last night, I'm staving one off right now. They're terrifying. I have been to my therapist's office this morning, dh is being wonderful. I'm waiting on a call back from my doctor re: meds. Please continue to pray. Thanks everyone.

Mama, congratulations on the birth of your baby, and I am glad to hear your older ds is doing well at this time. I will continue to pray for you and your family. I know from personal experience how awful panic attacks feel, and I hope you find an end for them very soon.

I'm pro-adoption reform, but not anti-adoption.

I don't have a special needs child, but I can relate to the panic and how terrifying it is. I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way.

I will pray for all of you. I had panic attacks after I had my twins. I started to get them after my third. It is going to be ok. I can't wait until you can look back on this and see how wonderful everything is and how great ds1 is with it all.
But for now, take care of yourself. I am so glad your family is supporting you!

Get some Rescue Remedy, Rock Rose, White Chestnut. These are for upsets, terrors, and obsessive thoughts. Also, add some Natural Calm for the magnesium supplementation. Most Americans, and especially pregnant and nursing mamas, are deficient in magnesium. Add some essential fatty acids, which also affect hormone/seratonin production.

You are doing it! Congratulations. Write some affirmations and post them so that you read them frequently:

All is well. Everything is working toward my highest Self. Out of this situation only Awareness and Joy will unfold. We are safe.

I'm so glad the baby is here and is well. I'm prone to panic attacks myself, and have wound up in the emergency room more than once so I know how terrifying they are. I hope they abate quickly.

I hope you get some good meds that will hold the attacks off. I used to get them myself and luckily haven't had one in years. You'll get through this too, and then get to begin enjoying both your kiddos

I've had panic attacks myself -- awful stuff, and I hope you can get help for that soon.

Glad to hear the babe arrived safe and snug and that big brother is adjusting well.

Congratulations on your new baby! That's so wonderful.

I am sorry you are having panic attacks. I hate when people say this to new mothers (with an older child as well!), as if it's possible, but get a lot of rest. It helps a lot.

I had severe panic attacks and major ppd after my second child (I also have bipolar). If you feel you need it go on meds as soon as possible. I held off for too long and damaged a lot of people in the process. Congrats on your new little one!

Congratulations, Finch.

Meds are GREAT when they're needed! (I love my Lexapro!)

Take it easy and be good to yourself.
