Get paperwork mailed for the following:

* Tax return ammendement: get $1000 more.
* Mail order pharmacy paperwork
* Benefits verification paperwork done
* Request for copy of marriage certificate for benefits verification

Yeah...Connor has a different appt every day this week ending with surgery on Friday...

Monday: me and DH both have dental appts, Connor sees cardiologist
Tuesday: Pre-op physical/1 yr well baby w/pediatrician
Wednesday: First appt w/ASL instructor
Thursday: Speech/physical therapy
Friday: Surgery day...again.

That's just the appts...there's still all the "other" stuff...insurance issues, meds, keeping his records up (I get copies of everything and carry them with me), coordinating all his appts with his case workers... You're right, it alone could be a full time job. But I work more than full time already!!!

That's why I love this forum...you guys all understand!

I can totally understand your frustration. In a given week we have at least 1 appointment every day for Dakota, usually more.

I remember those times, especially when we were trying to diagnose things. Soooo overwhelming. Weekly weight checks, feeding team, feeding therapy, developmental assessment, speech therapy, VCUG, swallow test, blah blah blah. We're now down to appointments only once a month. Woo hoo! My hope for you is that your kids' medical appts will slow down eventually too, as things get figured out.

It is pretty overwhelming, isn't it? It is just like a full time job, unpaid of course.

I had to get a palm and consult that. Then I had to combine the palm with the phone so I would remember to charge. We have a similarly crazy week. :

kodama, that is intense. is there respite care/parent relief available where you are?

i am trying not to think of my to-do list (taxes... uh, more than just this year's... insurance claims, compile & fax paperwork to daycare for special-ed resource teacher, two therapy appointments, laundry, general housework, cooking for the week, etc.), as well as working full-time, and lo is still recovering from croup, and i seem to be getting another cold before recovering completely from bronchitis, and we're probably getting another blizzard (we haven't been able to get the car out the driveway for almost a week)

(((kodama))

This is intense and I really feel for you. Feel free to come here and vent in between when you need.
We had schedules like this for a while and it made me really sad, depressed, exhausted, defeated, hopeless and just plain maniac.

I didn't even know who I was anymore.

I really hope that some answers will be yield from all this.

Take care,
