The search feature isn't working : and I want to add some good autism quotes to my quote thing on my blog. I know ShaggyDaddy and some others have a reputation for great quotes, and there are others out there...give me your quotes!

Shaggydaddy once told me, ""Normal" just isn't good enough for my kids!" and it's stuck with me ever since!

I saw this one in an article about autism activism: "We're here. We're weird. Get used to it."

I just shot coffee out of my noise. Ouch. but that is hilarious and awesome. I'ma tell ds, he'll love it. He'll say it to everyone he meets, I betcha.

I think when they get the search engine back up you just need to read a list of ShaggyDaddy's post. That oughta do it.

pardon my narcissism but here are a few of my self-favorites.

Quote:
Many times the only difference between having a weird kid and having a seriously expensive, heart breaking, time consuming, life altering psudo-medical problem is the word "Diagnosis".
Quote:
"Yes he will out grow it, after a certain age people will stop thinking they can control how he thinks and acts, so it won't be a problem anymore."
Quote:
Since I don't really know anyone who is "normal" I am pretty frightened by the prospect of trying to teach my son to be normal.
Quote:
"Autism Awareness" is the one and only cause of the "Autism Epidemic"
Quote:
What our kids do is not really our fault, but we as parents are uniquely positioned to solve problems that are not really our own.

My e-mail signature is, "Normal is just a setting on your dryer."

My DH's line regarding ASD is from Star Wars, "The Force runs strong in our family."
