I was wondering if anyone else is tube feeding an older child. My little guy just turned 1 and up until this point I've been pumping. I'm now losing my supply because I'm pregnant again and really hating giving him formula. I'm also concerned that he might need more nutrition. Any suggestions? I can't give him rice cereal (it won't work with a tube) and I don't just want a filler.
I want to give him the best nutrition possible!: Help!

Have you considered a blended diet? You take real food and puree it usually in a vitamix (which can get gotten cheaply if your tube feeding) and its thinned down enough to put though the tube. Saves a ton of money on formula. I know they discuss the diet quite a bit at if you email me I will send you some basics so you get an idea about it.

what kind of tube? g-tube?

i can get infant cereal down a tube just fine.. also most fruits, veggies.. beans..
all kinds of stuff I just have a food processor & blend it with water, formula , or juice..

just flush with water after a feed to keep it from clogging.. but g-tubes are easy to replace anyways..
