How does it work? My local store doesn't have any in-stock and the website description isn't very descriptive for me:

Similar to a Sit n Spin only without the center pole. The one I saw seems to spin a bit freer than the sit n spins I've seen.

My DD loves the one in the store, but it does spin more freely than a sit-n-spin and she falls off easily.

Mama to 4 darlings. A ('03), O and K ('06), A ('09), and wife to M since 2002.

Wow! I had no idea that IKEA had so many things that could be used as therapy toys! What a great option. So much less expensive than the special needs catalogues too.

That's the spinning thing I was thinking about when I posted a bit ago. Cool.

Ikea is SO far away from me, but ought to make a trip up there.

I have something like that, but not so colorful. I got two of them on sale after the holidays for $1. This is what we have. My son loves it.

Could an average-sized adult fit on one of those?

Weirdo Mama to amazing Aurelia, age 9 & Ember Roslyn, age 3!

On the one I have or the Ikea one? I can stand safely on ours. I think the weight limit is 200 pounds.

My son also has motor Apraxia and so he's clumsy sometimes. I was thinking if he could sit down he'd be a bit safer! LOL! He can't use a Sit N Spin because he only has 4 fingers and 2 thumbs and they are all very short. It's hard for him to get a grip.

My local store that operned last year doesn't have any in-stock and of course you can't buy them on-line but maybe they'll have some by Christmas.

Sincerely,
Debra, homeschooling mom of 4
