30 weeks!! I am so happy for you making it to this important milestone.

And I keep giggling when I see this post because I always read it as "Momo mom is impatient at the hospital" which also seems kind of apropos!

Congrats on 30 weeks!!! That's awesome. I spent enough time inpatient when I was pregnant, I can't imagine it's fun to be there for weeks on end. But I do hope you are there for a good while yet

Good morning ladies. I was hoping to not give an update for another few days at my 32nd week, but last night we had a bit of excitement that I wanted to share.

Yesterday I celebrated my 4th week inpatient and had my 1st eventful night. The babies heart rate shifted by 40 beats in 1 beat. As it turns out it was not an official decel, but a shift in their baselines which is good. It is a sign of maturity and with great varibility it shows a sign of health.

Of course the shift was a little scarey to witness (the cons of 24/7 monitoring). My doc reassured me everything was ok. Several hours later the babies rates while still showing great varibility was a little low. I didn't have a rush in, but there was definitely prep for an impending delivery....oxygen, IV prep, and doc called in.

Within 45 minutes the heart rates returned to a comfortable range. It took me a little while to come down from the high/fear of the potential that I might deliver, but I did eventually and was able to get some rest.

For now, the monitoring belts lay firmly affixed to my belly and the babies baseline remains lower, but the excitement has passed. My wish for a non-eventful stay has been interrupted, but events are great preparation.

I'll keep you posted, but let's hope I get to update you on Thursday reaching 32 weeks.

How exciting and scary. Glad the news wasn't bad. Hope you can make it to 32 and even beyond. You are doing great.

I am glad the excitement passed and you are still pregnant! I can not even imagine how bored you must be by now but I still hope you make it a few more weeks! Your goal was 36, right?

I am quite happy to share that I am 32 weeks!!!!!!!!

:::::::::: :

After my excitement earlier this week I know I am on borrowed time. I am still aiming for 36 weeks, but am definitely taking it day by day.

Thank you so much for all of your support and well wishes!

Just as an FYI, this is an interesting thread on the concept of a "natural cesarean".

I am sooooo happy for you!!! 32 weeks is fantastic! What a commitment to your babies to be in the hospital. I am sending baby baking vibes your way, and hoping that your babies will cook as long as they need to.

You are doing an amazing job! What a strong mama you are! Keep up your spirits, and try to enjoy this time (as silly as that sounds). Soon (hopefully not too soon) you will be chasing down two squirrely babies!
