Just a quick note (while both babies are miraculously sleeping and big brother is occupied at the computer) to let you know that my twins arrived last Friday. They weighed 7.5 pounds each (actually he was slightly heavier) and were delivered vaginally and healthy. By the way, the placentas looked great! Thank you so much for all of your support over the past few weeks. I feel like my two sort of "stuck it to the man" and all of the nurses were beyond impressed that I was giving birth to 40 week twins!

I am SO delighted for you! Enjoy the newborn phase. It's exhausting but it passes so quickly and I barely felt like I got a glimpse before it was gone.

Congratulations and welcome little ones!! I had been thinking we might have some babies coming soon on this board! Glad to hear they made their arrival safely (and both sleeping at the same time (however briefly?!?! -- hooray for that, too!).

Congrats!

I went 40w 2d. :

I do not really get the 'stuck it to the man' reference though. Can you explain?

Congrats to you as well! My docs tried to scare me into an induction at 39 weeks and were a bit irritated when I refused. That's what I meant by "stuck it to the man".
