Some of us MOMs experience pre-term labour or birth and steroids are used to mature our babies' lungs. I just came across this study and thought it might be interesting to weigh against using steroids for later preemie parents (like 32ish weeks+) but also comforting to those of us to struggled to get our supply up with preemie multiples:

basically says that steroids 3-6 days ahead of births can have the effect of reducing milk out put and so we can take steps to educate ourselves how to counter that (like early expressing after birth: hand pumping, then double pumping, then single pumping to finish off at each pumping session, using galactogogues earlier rather than later etc)
