I just found out this morning! They have been trying for almost 4 years. They are excited but a little scared, too.
Is there anything I can or should do to help them get ready?
She is going with me to LLL next week, because she really wants to nurse them. And I am trying to get her in contact with a triplet mom who is a friend of a friend, and she made it to 37 weeks with her triplets and has been nursing them all.
What other resources should I help her locate? And is a mothers of multiples group something y'all recommend or not or is it something you just have to go and see about?

CONGRATULATIONS to your friend!! What exciting (and a bit scarey) news! The first thing she needs to do is run out and buy "Mothering Multiples" that is published by LLL. She can buy it on the LLL site: www.lalecheleague.org.

Here is an article that I found here at MDC:

http://www.mothering.com/12-0-0/html...triplets.shtml

Here's one from Breastfeed.com:

http://breastfeed.com/resources/articles/bftriplets.htm

The Triplet Connection:

http://www.tripletconnection.org/oldroot/brstfeed.html

I found these by doing a Google search for "breastfeeding triplets". If you want, I can get her in touch with a woman who posts on a board I host (it's a bf'ing multiples bb) on another website who nursed twins and then triplets. PM me and I'll try to get her email to you.

Wow! TRIPLETS! How cool!!!

It IS exciting isn't it? Sure, I'd be scared but what a momentous event.

They have a small issue with vehicles -- they have a civic and a pick up truck. I was like, dude, those are not gonna work! :
So they might buy my minivan when we leave for Europe this summer. Cool for both of us.

thanks for the links! I'm passing them on to her.

Wow!!

The sister of a very dear friend of mine nursed her triplets until they were 18 months for one, and 3.5 years for the other two (one just self-weaned early).

It CAN be done!!
