Ok so I have a friend who has both fraternal and identical twins, and we were discussing something and made me think.

What were early newborn/infant sleep/eating habits with your fraternal or identical twins. (Please specify what kind of twin they are).

Pretty much my curiosity is do identicals sleep/eat at similar times from birth... do fraternals? Or did you have to work them on to a similar schedule...

My girls are MZ and have basically been on the same schedule their entire lives. It's rare that one goes to sleep even 30 minutes later than the other, though sometimes they wake up that much apart.

In the early days, I chalked it up to the NICU schedule but I think by 4.5 that would've worn off a bit.

My boys are MZ, and were mainly on the same schedual as infants. We had some TTTS, so my "A" was bigger than my "B", and he started sleeping longer than B at about 4 months. Daytime scheduals were pretty similar, and they got their teeth w/in a week of eachother. My guys are now 7yrs, A is still a bit heavier than B, but they still poop at the same time in the morning, lol

Oh yeah, when mine were babies they would poop within a couple of minutes of each other most of the time. Now it's more like an hour.

And, my trizygotic triplets could not be more different in most ways, including sleep and eating habits.

There have definitely been long periods where trying to get them on the same sleeping schedule has been futile.

Oh you poor mama. Good thing they're really really cute, right?
