2 out of the 3 kids have had a nasty cough.  They are taking antibiotics and cough syrup.  I'm coming down with it too... but I want to avoid going to the doctors.  What is safe to take during pregnancy?  Any home/natural remedies?  Thanks!

When I had a cold I was told up to 2000mg of vit c a day was ok (by my midwife) and garlic is a natural antibiotic and is ok in pregnancy...that is what I'd do if I thought it was something that was an infection. You can also up your vit d for a few days to see if that will help fight it off faster. These are all the things I do when I get sick.

The biggest change for me comes from getting extra sleep.
