Before I found out they were twins, I was planning a homebirth in water. My doc won't do a homebirth but he is still very open to a waterbirth if things are going smoothly. He won't make me any promises, because of the unexpected, but he says we can try it. I will be using a birthing room at a hospital with a jaccuzzi tub. So... I am just wondering what to expect? I would love to hear others' experiences. Thank you!

What a groovy doc. I hope you get a waterbirth. Water is so calming.

Yes, he really is a good doctor. When we first met him, he told us he did breech vaginal births if the mother wanted to (we didn't even ask, he just volunteered that info) and he did homebirths on a case by case basis. In a city where the c-section rate is 80% (highest rate for a city in the world) his is only 12%. He is still a doctor, but I really do trust him. So we are just trusting that things will go smoothly and I will get my waterbirth afterall.

Oh will you give him a big kiss on his forehead from me? I birthed breech, frank and footling, respectively, twins at home. I LOVE that he is so open to a waterbirth and he catches breech babies. I love that man.

I didn't, but I hope you get the birth you want! Sounds like you have a great doctor!

I was planning a waterbirth with our twins at home and we set up a tub and everything...but I just never felt like getting into it! I headed in the direction of the tub between the births, thinking I could have my second in the water, but about a third of the way there, I turned around and went back into the bathroom.

Wish you all the best!

My twins were born in the water and it was great! Much easier than my singleton who was born on land! Are there any specific questions that you have?

Trying to get my bearings...
