Hi everyone!

I am currently 33 wks 5 days pregnant. I started measuring really big about 2 weeks ago. At 30 weeks I was just a couple weeks ahead and then yesterday I was measuring 46cm. I had a u/s this morning and the tech said, "Well, there is 2 heads". My response? "Do you see 2 bodies!!" "If we get 2 heads, I want 2 bodies" Thankfully, we have 2 whole, healthy twin girls.

They are each measuring 5lbs 12ozs, so that seems great for how far along I am. I had already scheduled a c/s (long story) for my due date 1/6/06. I'm hoping to keep that date as long as my body holds out well. I've had bad SPD and have a torn round ligament. It would be great to go until labor begins on its own. I've had a couple bouts of painful ctx, but no dialation so far!

The shock hasn't worn off, but we are very excited....and scared! We have a great support system and my mom can stay for quite awhile after the birth. My daughter is only 19 months and we have a son who is turning 7 in a couple weeks. It will be a busy bustling household for sure.

I look forward to getting to know you all

How exciting!!! Congratulations to you and your family!! Twins are a lot of work, but they are so much fun and so rewarding! You sound a lot like me. When my twins were born ds1 wasn't even 2 yet (he turned 2 the following month) and dd1 was 8. I'm a single momma, so if my parents, my sister and my grandma hadn't been around to help out, I sooooo would've gone crazy!
Blessings to you!! If you need anything, let me know!

You belong to a very special, amazing group that you will bond with randomly forever...like in the post office when the grandpa in front of you had twins 50 years ago, or the grown twin at the checkout, and their faces light up & all have beautiful tales of twinhood as soon as they see your doubles.

We rock, as do you, wonderful mama

That is really beautiful, Maya. It's so true. I make connections with people all the time while out in public with my twins.
